Bunty gujjar, 08 Mar 2024I have a budget of 380usd and need a phone with decent ca... morea motorolla 40 neo or a pixel 7a? both clean but Moto offers less support for 2 yrs os updates and is not available everywhere. the 7a has a horrible battery, I think. Most if not all pixels have terrible battery endurance. dunno about the coming 8a. Sony 10 v and Nokia/Hmd x30 are also options but even harder to find.

Smallworld, 06 Mar 2024I can't understand why any grown adult would want a ph... morei did not buy the NP1 and 2 since its too bright and distracting. But the NP2a offers less light which may still be a tad bit too much but not dazzling enough to be distracting or as you put it, Teeny. It will serve its purpose (for me at least) to notify me of the very important things I'm concerned about while busy and not be looking at my phone every time it sounds off. Being an adult doesn't mean shying away from the things one likes. In my case, this phone is giving me Star Wars/Star Trek vibes that I'm a fan of. Being an adult doesn't mean I have to box myself up to the standards of others, such as yourself.

Smallworld, 07 Mar 2024Then simply buy a phone that has a notification LED. a rarity now and those notif lights are not that easy to spot especially when busy or bright conditions.

Smallworld, 06 Mar 2024I can't understand why any grown adult would want a ph... morethey are responding to specific niche, not the typical consumer

seriously, general consumers killed the market of innovative phones that enthusiast shaped. it's no wonder that brands just literally print the exact same mold from ODM, shape the camera island a bit and swap branding. Reuse the same software from flagship, tone down its update cycle, use cheaper parts that barely pass QA and make sure to push an update that makes the device kills itself when final OTA is pushed

I wish there were alternative OS. If I weren't reliant on phones for work, I could abandon cellphones altogether

Smallworld, 06 Mar 2024I can't understand why any grown adult would want a ph... moreThe thing is: You could literally implement those glyphs for the always on display. On an OLED you already have a display that is mostly turned off due to how it works, most displays support HDR too, so the brightness of the glyphs on the screen would be no issue whatsoever. Also, You would not potentially damage your screen by placing the phone with the backside up. The gimmick was funny on the first gen but quickly turned out to just be a terrible battery hog.

Maddy2512, 07 Mar 2024Oh well , i am a adult who been using glyphs. My work deman... moreThen simply buy a phone that has a notification LED.

Smallworld, 06 Mar 2024I can't understand why any grown adult would want a ph... moreOh well , i am a adult who been using glyphs. My work demands to have attention and respond to official chat communication on priority. When i am not in front of workstation, I use this Glyphs which is configured to certain app , these helps me in NOT to stare at screen. Well , Teenagers has many more fancy things to do these days , probably millennials teenagers would have enjoyed this.
