The smartphones and many of their features are evolving fast each, year but the batteries remain untoucued since a long time, and now they degrade a lot faster in comparison to the gadgets' life cycle. A flagship phone will last for around 7 years, but the battery will be worn out way before that, at max in 3 years, hence phone companies must absolutely work on batteries to make them last as long as the phone itself and also to reduce degradation from heat and fast wireless chargin

                                Something like this was done by moto way back in 2017 where the accessories attached direct to the phones via magnets

                                  Transsion has become the chinese LG at this point. They keep throwing features at the wall to see if it sticks.
