I have to admit: Dimensity 6100+ is mighty successful, at least in market, if not tech-wise.
I have seen at least 8-10 phones with this SoC, and it has just launched.

At least SS removed the ugly "Key Island" from the A15 in favor of a bigger battery. Good desicion, Samsung!

Samsung getting really serious this year by putting OLED on the base model. I hope that's the end of LCD on phones now. Glad they went with 90hz as well. If they also offer decent OS upgrades and their usual excellent service, this should be a winner.

potato4k, 11 Mar 2024this is not ewaste. it's a decent 5G entry level devic... morereal example of brand new ewaste straight from factory would be redmi A3. comes with rebranded P35 with 90hz aka helio G36 to make it modern, 2009 camera quality and yet emmc 😂😂 6gb ram is even useless with android go. even that phone is cheap, it is just worse and would be unusable in half a year.

That old dude will not get updat... morethen you could get an s22-23 lol they still get updates and are 5g compatible for cheaper now.
for example here s23 ultra was max 700-800 before s24 was even announced
now it's lower to 500 which is really a good deal for it.

Plus the cameras... would you even use the 5g? you act like you use 5g 24/7 and it's a most need.
4g is enough and fast for now and 5g isn't that widely mostly available with the signals being okay ish at some times and others not too good.
if you say you can get higher storage and ram well there you go might as well get a different 5g budget phone/midranger in that price point that'll perform better.
as for this? it's practically just a refreshed device with almost no changes from last year modesl.
