I suspect 8s Gen3 will be the missing 7 Gen2 just renamed in the 8 series family.

- 8 Gen 2: 1x 3.2 GHz – Cortex-X3, 2x 2.8 GHz – Cortex-A715, 2x 2.8 GHz – Cortex-A710, 3x 2 GHz – Cortex-A510 (1+2+2+3)
- 7+ Gen 3: 1x 2.9 GHz – Cortex-X4, 3x 2.6 Ghz – Cortex-A720, 4x 1.9 GHz – Cortex-A520 (1+3+4)
- 8s Gen 3: 1x 3.01 GHz – Cortex-X4, 3x 2.61 Ghz – Cortex-A720, 4x 1.84 GHz – Cortex-A520 (1+3+4)
The core configuration, core selection, and GPUs used are clearly distinct (unless you're blind, uninformed, or straight up lying).

7+ gen 2 = underclocked 8 gen 1+
for future 7+ gen 4 should be an underclocked.8 gen 3 with new 2nd gen 3nm tsmc hopefully

Anonymous, 11 Mar 2024New chipsets that get used a year or too later. They will be used in phones either in March or April. The 7+ Gen 3 is coming on the OnePlus Ace 3V very soon and the snapdragon 8s gen 3 is coming on the Xiaomi Civi 4 series probably in April
