Weekly poll: would you rather have the Galaxy A55, Galaxy A35 or neither?

Their predecessors rivaled the Galaxy S series for popularity, so these have big shoes to fill. And they do bring some major improvements.

Neither are good at their price points. The A55 is quite literally competing with Samsung's own phone, the S23 FE, so Samsung decided not to bring it to US markets. It's still almost the same phone as the A52s, so it's become wholly uncompetitive now.

The A35 is a lot better than the A34, but also more expensive than it, and the Exynos 1380 is objectively a worse chip than the Dimensity 1080 when it comes to efficiency and thermals while being no better on the performance front.

You could buy a Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ for $360-$400 and have a better experience. Better cameras, (except for A55's better ultrawide, but that's not a terrible trade-off when you get a better main and selfie), better processor, better screen in every way, and bigger storage that is still the same UFS 3.1 as the A55. The battery life is disappointing, but other than that, no issues.

EDIT: You could also buy yourself a Xiaomi 13T for around the same price, as kurotsuki has pointed out, which is an even better deal.

    None. I'd rather pick 13T for the telephoto and Leica processing experience.

      I will stick with my A34. I don't think that A35 or A55 is such a huge upgrade for me.

        I don’t why this phone gets a lot if hate
        It has mostly even bezels beautiful aluminum and gg victus design
        Great display speakers software camera and reasonable chipset
        It has no shortcomings
        For the people saying xiaomi is better i have to disagree
        Poor software support
        Motherboard problems and being famous for cheap phones is holding a lot of people back

                  Neither, if I must go for a Samsung A series phone, then I'd rather the A34, A73, or even the A52s 5G. Otherwise, there are better midrange phones in each price segment from other brands.
