Why does Blackberry have a reluctance to providing 3G on its handsets? A business phone in 2008 should embrace high speed web access through the mobile networks surely?

The main reason you would want 3G would be sould you can multi task ;talk, text, web at the same time along with faster speeds! The new bold covers all of this!!! But can you skype on this phone?

8900 will probably come with 3.2MPx and it is way smaller than Bold. Since BB are very efficient it's expirience, even in EDGE, for most functions are absolutly good (considering it comes with wifi and the increasing coverage...). Without the 3G the price is better... Great product!

I have push and corporate e-mails on my 8320 and I've never experienced any problems receiving e-mails. Maybe opening attatchments takes longer on EDGE but the reliability of push remains perfectly fine.

                    there are many better alternatives
its silly to buy it simply because its a blackberry.

                      Check this video out, http://crackberry.com/blackberry-curve-8900-hands-video

The Camera is supposed to be the same as the Storm, 3MP w/Flash and Video :-)

I have the 8320 Curve now and it'd be nice to have both WiFi AND GPS! Cna't wait for T-Mobile to start selling this at the subsidized price

I mean the other Curves (8320, etc.) are being sold everywhere. We've got the Bold too in El Salvador (Central America), but this is the first time I hear about the Curve 8900... If you have access to the NEW 8900, you could check the camera and see if it's 2 or 3 MegaPixels, because the reviewer didn't know about it.

Anonymous, 10 Oct 2008isn't it worse than Q11?Q11 , with ARM 7 processor and 64 nmegs of RAM , the older Curve had 64 MB and 320 MHz proc. But don't compare WinMO with BB OS , they're different things all togheder .

BB Curve is already being sell in Argentina. It cost around 500 US Dollars on a 2 year contract (200 minutes, 200 sms and 200mb for 33 US Dollars a month), but here we pay our phones much more costly than they are sell in the rest of the world, so you can spect that the price on your country will be cheaper.
