Meizu 21x rumored to have a mid-range Snapdragon AI chip, 5,500mAh battery

14 March 2024
The battery was just certified by the 3C and is bigger than any recent phone from the company, including the recent Meizu 21 Pro.

they left the "traditional" smartphone market so they'll likely keep making devices but maybe more similar to say.. the rabbit r1 for example.

it looks like they're maybe finishing projects that were already close to release like 21 pro and now this and then probably moving on to the next thing soon.

i doubt we'll see the foldable that was mid-way through development or any of the global releases which is sad as i definitely would have picked up either a 21 or 21 pro here in the uk.

I totally doubt Meizu really stop making smartphones. Meizu is under Geely, and they still have Polestar which rumoured to make Polestar Phone. Meizu could be still continue making phones, but not under their brand name

Qualcomm going for maximum confusion with their chip naming now

Snapdragon 8s gen 2 slots under the 8 gen 2?
Does the s stand for slower?

everything these days even automatic switch will be labeled as "Ai"

7+g3 is already very close to 8g2, only 10% slower cpu and 20% slower gpu. How would 8sgen2 even slot in between???

Yes battery sizes keep rising almost at the 6000mah mark

HyperionBurn, 14 Mar 2024i thought the meizu 21 pro was the last phone? This is like LG Velvet 2 Pro except Meizu actually gets to release theirs while LG just sold their last phone to LG employees.

HyperionBurn, 14 Mar 2024i thought the meizu 21 pro was the last phone?Technically, yes. But apparently, no

i thought the meizu 21 pro was the last phone?

Looks like they aren't done, even with the Pro.

After spending money on R&D and components, they cannot just reap the phones.
They need to get some money back before they quit.
