OnePlus Ace 3V to surpass OnePlus 12 in battery life, claims president

Louis Jie revealed the new phone would perform better than the OnePlus 12 in the long run.

Even sd8s gen 3 cluster design isn't the same. One of the reasons for the higher power consumption is the performance target. And there are a lot of things that come into place other than just clock frequency when it comes to gaining target performance. One is having greater level 1 arc memory for lower integers on the pipeline. Sd8 gen 3 can consume up to 12w. A lot more than sd7+ gen 3. Only one application can't tell the full story.

    Tsmc 4nm don't have 100% yield, it's around 70-80% there are wafers which won't clock as high as Qualcomm want for 8 gen 3 those will become 8s gen 3 and 7+ gen 3. The existence of 8s gen 3 shows 7+ gen 3 may be worse while 8s will be in middle.

    Also 7+ gen 3 gpu is clocked higher, to reach that perfomance, so they went Mediatek route of using less cores and overclock them which use more energy.

The reason is the prime x4 core and higher GPU frequency. But being a high-end SoC it's not off the chart. In the synthetic benchmark, you can see that D8300u was consuming more power while scoring less. Still, it's too early for any conclusion since it can be more optimised. In GI the fps was great. 7.5w isn't shabby when the performance is flagship grade. Not as efficient as sd8 gen 2 but not too bad either. We already saw in Oneplus 12 that it's not a well-optimised device. The number can differ in Xiaomi phones.

                  I'm confused. The Oneplus 12R gets 8 gen 2 and UFS 3.1 yet this supposed "Nord 4" is going to get the same max 16 GB of RAM AND UFS 4.0 storage? Weird.

                  I think this phone is most likely going to turn out to be a Oneplus 12RT or Oneplus 12T or something because I feel like the 7+ Gen 3 is gonna be quite close to the 8 gen 2's performance if not better. But since this is a "V" phone I think yeah it's gonna be a Nord 4 similar to the Ace 2V being a Nord 3. But still, it's weird that this phone is going to get faster storage.

                    first confirm if it is ufs v4.0 or like one plus 12r they will accept they falsified the information. Also every company shows their new phone better that the phone theu have launched in last few months to increase their sale. Also what all apps were used to compare battery life. Also compare cameras and other things i.e. overall phone while comparing two phones.

                            Take it with grain of salt, it may have better battery life in small load task, but anything which require perfomance it use more battery than 8 gen 2. Geekerwan reviewed this soc already and in some games it use more than 7W which is unheared for midrange before.

                                  Seems pretty good until now according to what we have heard

                                  If the camera isnt focus hunting all the time andtthat that offer support for 3-4 years I'll probably replace my almost 5 yo Mi 9t pro with this one
