Samsung close to securing $6 billion grant for chip plant in Texas

Funding from the CHIPS and Science Act will authorize over $280 billion in funding for domestic research and manufacturing of semiconductors.

The US will spend billions on making our phones more expensive, but will not do anything about all those school shootings, or build actual infrastructure like HSR...

    Wow. I am always told China doesn't really have fair competion between private companies because of stuff like this, but turns out the US also does that? So much for "the free market"...

              Apparently, Samsung isn't the only one doing this. US is trying to push for NVIDIA and AMD graphics card to be manufactured and designed in the US alone. No Korea, China or any Asian country. I heard that this will increase price for hardware

                      South is also building 16 semiconductor facilities by 2047 investing $461 Billion.

                      The money they spend on semiconductors is obscene.
