Ellen Dale, 19 Mar 2024Funny how hmd ditched the nokia branding And now they try ... moreIf you knew a little, you would have known that their 10 Years license of nokia Name and paterns for mobile devices is over in 2027. You would heve also known that Nokia does not want to further license their brand name, and that this is one of the reasons why nokia changed it's logo. HMD is practicaly forced to slowly turn to another brand, in this case, their own brand name. Which is actually a smart thing to do in their position now.

It'll be trash.
Just like every single other phone the Home of Mediocre Devices has ever produced.

Super Android 22, 19 Mar 2024This is super worrying for HMD, it clearly shows they have ... moreThey actually undergo through a lot of changings right now, manufacturing, management, brand portofolio, nokia licenses. But if they survive to start full manufscturing in europe, they will most probably havr some pretty hard times comming up and well, will not release a flagship, if that's your fancy.

I really hope this device is 4G and comes out in the US. The only non-KaiOS dumbphone from a non-obscure brand here is the 225 4G and it has a texting bug where messages get shuffled because of incorrect timestamps.

This is super worrying for HMD, it clearly shows they have no motivation, no ideas or care left in the company. If you need to use an ancient device to ge people's attention now you know you're struggling hard (just like most their current catalogue of over priced 90s phones they keep releasing).
Shows the patent money is keeping them afloat and very few working there actually care anymore, shame 😞

What a joke this company has become. First, it promised false hopes to revive the Nokia brand in smartphone business and failed miserably. Now they're still doing this nostalgia thing that no one is interested in.

I wont be surprised if HMD gave this the exact same specs as the original model, since most of their phones are heavily underspecced and average quality, labelled as "nokia" just to cash in on nostalgia
