It is so sad that the people have forgotten the basics Symbian was the most loved admired os back then, and now android one day same thing will happen to that coz nobody rules forever, only Microsoft dominating till now from our childhood, people act as if they never used Symbian we should never forget the past if the we ignore something that was related to our life one day it will happen to us,others will forget us so soon,I am so sorry about Symbian now only two things left from our childhood one is Nokia brand and Microsoft I am sure they will do their best to fight they will fight till last drop of blood, good luck Nokia and Microsoft,we grew up using Nokia and Microsoft

Time to get another (or two) 808 for keeps.
If it's goodbye Symbian, then my 808 will be the last and then it's goodbye Nokia and hello LG or Samsung. I'm not going into all all that WP carp. Not when it has so many restrictions. App development for Symbian will follow lead and then it will be just history. I love the Symbian (primary) and Android (secondary) combination. They compliment each other. But if Symbian will be gone, it might be time to search for an OS that's complimentary to Android.

Looks like iOS is catching up to Symbian. If only they will remove their restrictions, allow a separate menu for apps, add folders, put in a memory card slot and allow sideloading just about anything.

Symbian will never be forgotten. Nokia 808 is still a standing king of mobile photography. We will see whether the EOS can topple it.

                We will miss you, Symbian.

Symbian is not a bad OS, but there are other OSs that perform better

It's just to see that a once dominant OS will put into halt. (sigh) I'd hope that Nokia will continue its R&D on the current flagship.

                        This is very SAD.
                        SYMBIAN is not bad.
                        but it needs some polishing.
Nokia u have to focus on devlopment of SYMBIAN.

In years we'll have documentaries detailing the origins of the smartphone and the Symbian platform will be a forgotten keynote in that tale. RIP, Symbian. You connected a very large portion of the world for a very long time.

This is a good move by Nokia. Let the software giant worry about the software so they can focus on the hardware and camera innovations. Nokia is playing their cards correctly here.

Finally they got the game. When will they realize to include Andoird OS in their phones. Like HTC and Samsung have both.
