Sure, you can also contact Samsung to find authorised resellers, but any search engine will give you the same info.

Samsung and Google have certainly made Apple iOS update policy to shame...

Thise were days when Steve Jobs mocked Android updates

justasmile, 21 Mar 2024Yeah, obviously.Still way better than those hard-to-repair phones that don't even get proper software support, especially security patches.

MakeMotoBetterAgain, 21 Mar 2024Can you buy the active5 as a normal consumer? You can if you know third-party dealers or vendors that sell it. Officially, you have to contact Samsung and tell them about your business or enterprise.

ikek, 21 Mar 2024They are pretty much a scam at this point. For a company... moreI totally get your point. However, Fairphone 4 was the first to incorporate IP54 dust/water protection, so that might be why Fairphone dropped the headphone jack. But then again, we've seen smartphones with IP5x or IP6x dust/water protection that also have a headphone jack, including Samsung's XCover line.

This is where Samsung's long software support makes sense since all XCover and Tab Active products have removable batteries. If Samsung built them on a similar level of repairability as Fairphone, that would be an even more enticing buy.

For a company that's supposedly "Green" and "Fair", they sure didn't think it twice before removing the headphone jack to sell generic TWS earbuds. They are as good as "Apple" is.

I've known companies who keep equipment for 5 - 7 years at a time, so this is awesome! No need to run things in a potentially vulnerable and/or unsupported state. Definitely will make some CISO's happy too.

I love that even a 4-5 years software support seems short in comparison nowadays. Gone are the days the top phone manufacturers only give 2 years of updates.

Samsung is nailing the software support.
