Great phone, but when is it for sale?
I am shocked at the amount of people obsessed with flash. Have you seen the other specs: 8gb memory, 400*800 resolution..Who cares about the standard camera with no flash, buy a real camera. You can stream TV on the go, download torrents, as you move around town... at lightning speeds. Only REAL downside, is no camera facing the front.. how you supposed to do video calls?

ronP1i, 14 Oct 2008N810 as far as i am concerned is it doesn't have full phone... morethe purpose of a phone is to make a call, and since the n810 is capable of doing this, it has full phone functionality!!!!!!!!

i think everybody surprised why HTC doesnt desighn the camera properly on the HTC PDAs, these beautiful PDAs needs the camera to be equipped with better design and Flah afcourse

if you are going to read this article with an already closed mind to HTC then you have wasted your time commenting hate on it.
People have their own minds about what they need in a phone. I respect the fact you need to have a respectable camera with flash in ur phone- but others here don't nessecarily need the same as you.
i have only ever needed a basic camera on my phone.
My last flash phone was a SE V600i.
if the enabled a flashlight feature on Australian phones again- then i woul buy one. but having a 1 second flash is no use for me.

D... moreNo, HTC builds dumb phones not smart phones, on the first place HTC persons itself are dumb and cannot build such smart phones like LG or Samsung (except for M8800 pixon dumbest phone they made with no wifi) Is it smart when your competitors build phones with those features like a simple flash then HTC builds their phone with no flash with it? then how can they compete that's dumb... if i were to choose/buy a phone between LG Renoir or Samsung Omnia and HTC Touch HD or even this HTC T8290 even with Wimax i would choose the First two phones they are complete theyve got all the features i like, not like HTC which builds phones with something lacking in each model... dumb dumb dumb

for me, i will only buy mobile phone that well balance in feature. if this HTC PDA phone imbalance with its camera, i won't even consider to buy it even it's UI is brilliant. but hats off for their achievement to make WIMAX PDA Phone....

The thing is clear that no phone model is a complete one in now a days market, Nokia gives everything but without touch screen, and limited support to web browser like no flash player etc.
Sony erricson & Motorola is not in this competetion they have their own world, people who like these brand handsets dont have to anything with technology.
Asus and Samsung, yes these can be said that they have got a good takerover over the market as they started with some potential.
The new technology coming soon is a phone with a projector inside, lets see when HTC and ASUS will launch this technology in their handset.

Can somebody tell HTC to know how to build a flash for the phones they make, Touch Diamond, Touch PRO, touch HD, Touch 3G, Touch Viva and even G1 now this T8290 all have megapixel cameras with no flash or maybe tell them about Cybershot, Carl Zeiss or Schneider Lenses.
