Or when they banned huawei for 'spying' but allowed them to work with Microsoft and Intel, meaning they only really got banned from making smartphones, conveniently as they just overtook apple.

        USA does so much spying that it's hilarious that their citizens believe they are under threat from Chinese companies spying, they should be more afraid of their own country then China.

The US can simply ban Huawei equipment from their sites and allies but the US has been keen on going the extra effort to completely stop Huawei from manufacturing their networking equipment.

                      The Snowden leaks showed the true reason which is Huawei networking equipment was cheaper and often times better than Western equivalent and was gaining popularity among network providers. This is a huge threat to the US spy network because Huawei won't spy for the US while we know through Snowden the American companies that run the bulk of internet traffic and routing infrastructure have no problem spying for their government.
