Why are apple so dense if this is true, the biggest sellers are always the standout colours, titanium this year, the blues, greens, purple have always been the biggest hits so why remove that and go with something so mundane as gold, perhaps it will look better in real life but you are just making them as boring as possible.
A unique colour is always desirable on iPhones because of the otherwise bland palettes you choose for the paint schemes. c'mon live a little get creative and give us something standout.

Wish they would bring back the old ‘proper’ Gold colour, like the one on the MacBook Air a few years back. Looked great.
