AI-infused iOS 18 to be "the most ambitious overhaul" in history

27 March 2024
The claim comes from "people working on the upgrade", quoted by Apple connoisseur Mark Gurman.

And now competitors are catching up quicker than ever. Because the competitors have learned the Apple way. Take Apple Silicon. iPhone SoC and the M1 had huge lead over the competitors. Qualcomm's flagship was way behind in every shape and form. But then bam, Snapdragon 8gen2, Qualcomm pretty much beat Apple's Ax in GPU and caught up in everything else. Then there's the Oryon cores coming. How did Qualcomm did this? By buying Nuvia, which was started by Apple's engineers.

And Apple has lost the AI race. Apple has no AI, nada, zip. If they did, they wouldn't have to use Google's Gemini.

That's why I'm going with Yes Android Yes on this one. I mean, it's not even a competition. Android has had generative editing and AI-infused wallpapers way before iOS 18. So why hype it up when it's not even news?

So adding to rumors of how they cancelled their project to concentrate on AI? They know they are behind the curve in the AI race but know it's already too late. If all these reports point to anything, they obviously feel they don't have the choice but have to (yet again) rely on the innovation of others. I mean, I enjoy using my iPhone and Macbook Pro but this is just getting embarassing now. Being for forefront of popularizing ARM chips for consumer computers aside, what else have they drastically innovated in the past 12 years since Steve Job's passing?

I can't wait to have generative edit and AI wallpapers on my iPhone 16 bunchoffluff !! Truly innovative of Apple!!! Android could never compete.

Why be hyped for this when stuff like this has already been on Android before? Apple fanboys SMH.
