Google Pixel 9 leaks in new renders

It seems Google may offer a trio of Pixel 9 phones.

It was uncomfortable to hold (totally flat edges, with sharp corners at the screen and back, bite into your hand). It was the first phone to have a glass back (offering users the opportunity to break not only the screen, but the back too; I mean great, why would you want this?; how the glass back has become the norm is beyond me; it's the worst possible material to use on the back). And, of course, the iPhone 4 was the phone about which Steve Jobs notoriously said, "Don't hold it that way," because the design meant that the antennas were blocked by the way any normal person would naturally want to hold the phone.

I do agree though that the Pixel 9 looks like the iPhone 4, as well as the current iPhone design. The current iPhones feel so chunky and uncomfortable in the hand, they're just horrible. Google needs to come up with it's own design ideas.

Honestly, I think the best most classic smartphone design was the original Nexus phone. It was the first aluminumn unibody phone, it had nice rounded edges, it felt great in the hand, and it looked great. Also the original Pixel was a pretty good version of this style. The original Pixel is still by far the best design of the Pixel phones. The Pixel 2 was second best. The giant camera hump on the Pixel 6, 7, 8, 9 is the worst design of the Pixel phones. It makes the Pixel absurdly thick, like we went almost twenty years back in design specifications.

      I don't mind at all that its a flat screen. Just means it won't be a pain in the ass to find and install a glass screen protector that will work well with the fingerprint reader.

There are a lot of things iphone copied in design from android too but none spills a word about it. The design is at it s peak ngl. Just apreciate what it s good if not just shut up. The only thing i d like for them not to copy anymore are those embarasing charging speeds. And to bump the ram for vanilla 9. Maybe add font customiasation too. That s all

              Omg my dream phone...iphone hardware running Android software 🤣 I hope they implement something more than 45w charging...and get rid of that terrible OS theme they have...with large buttons that occupy the whole screen unnecessary.

                Not going to get overly excited about the 6" and 6.1" versions 'cause, if the Zenfone 9 and 10 have taught me anything is that the bezel thickness can ruin everything.
                If the 6" iPixel 9 comes with very very slim bezels, I might be tempted even though I absolutely hate Google's software (I'll definitely look into rooting the phone and installing a custom ROM). Because then it should be smaller than the S23 (unlike the Zenfone 10).

                    Becoming more iphone style. Nowadays some phone back to iPhone design. Early phone was copy iphone. After that they make their own design. Now era back to iphonish style again. Just like Samsung, Xiaomi, Infinix, vivo, oppo, etc. If not copy the style it won't sold good. But I like this pixel design too. Will buy if not overprice

                        But I agree that Pixel 4/XL was peak Pixel design. Been hunting one myself in "orange" 128GB XL mint condition but that's pure unobtainium it seems.

                                  If it looks nice, it looks nice. My philosophy is either go square or go round. Anything in between looks ugly. The Pixel 6 is square, looks sleek, while still sort of keeping its unique camera visor, therefore it looks nice. (Comfort is another story...)

                                  If square = iPhone to you, then there must be a million things that look like an iPhone to you.

                                    Also, what is "Pixel charm" to you? IMO, Google lost its Pixel charm ever since they stopped with the dual-tone finish. I mean the combination of both glossy and frosted textures as seen on the first Pixel, all the way to the Pixel 4.

                                      I will happily continue to use my Pixel 4 as that was Google's peak design.

                                        FYI I own the Pixel 4, and I loved its design. I was always a fan of Pixel phone designs up until they released the P6. The Visor design just never appealed to me. So yes, you are right, all Pixel phones after the P6 were never the right phone for me.
