There are new curated lists, and you can edit your own lists to rearrange things to your heart's content.

And even can make own places of interest.
For example me and my family been foraging mushrooms in forest for eons.
I can mark places where i found plenty and every year can go back to that place.
The onlly problem is those marks gets removed when i change phone for something new.
Even if i log it back to maps.me account still those markings are gone which sucks.

    No thanks. Maps.me works offline and does good enough job.

      Yet you still can't pause navigation if you decide to go off a route you set. For example I'm going A-B but I just want to dip off the road for fuel or a coffee, maps starts busily trying to recalculate your route and telling you to turn around etc. It's the most simple of things yet either no one has thought of it or they can't be bothered

            Google's offline navigation sucks, don't know why.
            Like GPS don't even show current location without internet access.
            While with Maps.me GPS location can be seen without internet and even can be used for full offline navigation purposes but yes map lacks many landmarks.
            But 80 percent things of Maps.me are trustable, at least those roads are.

              I wish Google would let you toggle off the recommendations. I'm sure this would make the app a lot snappier and power efficient.

                I love google maps but they dont works offline so i prefer app called Maps.me because data is costly outside the EU.

                  Google Maps is one of the best apps on Android that has been there since the dawn of Android.
