Also 6100+ is not so weak that it'll start lagging after 1 year (of course it is weaker than CE4 since it costs half as much)

Anonymous, 02 Apr 2024Planned obsolescence.It's not possible to fit a 6000mAh battery on a phone that is small and only 7.6mm thick. I would love to see Samsung switch from glass to aramid fibres and have a 9.5mm thickness across all of their non-plastic phones, and increase the battery capacity along with it. A 9.5mm thick S24 could fit at least a 5000mAh battery and probably higher. This increased thickness would add weight, sure, but it would allow you to go caseless thanks to the really good durability and save some weight that a case would've added. I personally see this as a net positive, since a phone that is 168g does not feel worse to hold for me than say, a 188g phone or a 208g phone.
