Well, for me it's the opposite. Not every chinese brand has low quality products or ads in their UI. I wouldn't buy a Xiaomi either. However there are other brands.

Buy a Fairphone 5 if you want close to 7 years of warranty, as that phone offers 5 years, no other phone has more than 2 years of warranty.

PepperPot, 06 Apr 2024The Z5's durability is far better than the Open and ev... moreSales have nothing to do with durability, and neither do lab tests, in regular daily usage Samsung hasn't been durable with their past models, the Fold5 is definitely an improvement over those, but we will have to see if it can actually last years, which it should be able to for such high asking price, same with the Open, and the likes of the X Fold3/3 Pro.

4700-4800mah would be fine. I'll take the 4600mah at this point. Look at the battery comparisons on this site. The 4400mah battery was beating other foldables with a larger capacity until 2023. Samsung SDI needs to bring something to the table.

I'm not even sure the Open sold 50k. If sales were relatively equal the failure rate on the Open would likely be far worse than it is now.

Samsung should take the initiative to come up with a 6000 Mah battery at least so as to increase the length of access to the phone between charges.

Whats the issue of making cheaper devices if even the more expensive ones are garbage with plenty of issues. Mostly high battery drain low charging speeds and a very fragile main screen which can be permanently damaged with something common like nail.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra offered 5000mah battery and 45W fast charging back in 2020.
4years later and S24Ultra has the same battery and same fast charging.
Thats why they are still putting the inferior Exynos in their devices.
Thats why they spend millions on marketing.

It's strange because Samsung said removing the headphone jack and micro SD card was needed to increase innovation and were taking up too much space, yet minor-to no changes every year.

xiaomi, vivo, oppo or one plus either don't invest to go global or don't sell with proper prices. unless, they want to sell globally, they won't be an alternative to samsung.
