Hard work and consistent quality products paying off. Most advanced phones across all categories. Well done Samsung! Exciting phones so far ahead of competition at top end that even yearly incremental upgrades open the gap even more

This isn't a great surprise because Samsung had abnormally low profit Q1 2023. If I recall it mostly because of various one-off charges plus sales drops for their semiconductor division.

Tevenue was up bit over 10% but profit almost 1000% (near 10x).
Must be typo. This is way too impossible.
No cost cuts on Earth would make this ....

Rather it is despite of their smartphone sales as I think that those are actually down, but don't quote me on that as I'm not sure it's correct. I vaguely remember some publications from a few months ago commenting on Samsung smartphone sales noticeably tanking.
