It's pretty bad if the S20 FE won't get extended as well. Samsung even re-released a 2022 version of the phone and that's about 2 years ago now.

I moved away from Samsung as every itteration gets bigger, thicker and heavier. I loved the Note 10 (small version). If you compare the thickness and weight to the s22, s23 or s24 ultra it really is laughable and all look like bricks and a step backwards rather than forwards! There is no way I would want to carry a huge brick around. Unless Samsung go back to making sleek and light phones (like the note 10) I am afraid I am done with the brand. Incidentally my note 10 is still fast and works fine, the only issue is the have not provided updated software forcing us to throw away perfectly good equipment. So not great for the environment either.

S20 Person, 12 Apr 2024The S20 line is the last Sammy premium line with expandable... moreI tried but I just can't go up to the S21 or S22 or S23. The lack of expandable storage is a huge headache, because of multiple reasons, the biggest one is having all my precious pictures and videos on one single device, combined with difficulties to move to another phone (coping 200Gb of files over Wifi, or Cloud, good luck).

Cloud storage is a no go (high battery usage, 5G is expensive, not as fast as local storage, and in 2024 there is still no reliable software to access cloud storage transparently like being able to stream whatever the file even text/images/videos without downloading it first).

This is such a sh!tty situation. I am actively looking to move away from Samsung, probably the Sony line.

After Apple intentionally slowed down iPhones, I no longer believe in security patch. They work fine as long as I needed anyway.

I'm going with if it's ain't broke, don't fix it.

The S20 line is the last Sammy premium line with expandable storage options. I'm sure they are seeing users hang on to these devices. Cheers!
