Tom Apple, 18 Apr 2024You think it has english or only chinese language?Has English as well. A few of the built in apps will still be in Chinese but the system will offer the option of using English. I didn't check if it supports Google services though. Redmi's cheaper Redmi pad SE didn't support Google services in the Chinese model but all the more expensive Xiaomi branded pads do support Google services in the Chinese variants. I guess this one will support as it's a pro model but haven't checked it yet. Will check the next time I'm in a Xiaomi store.

This looks like a winner. A tablet with good specs and a headphone jack and expandable storage is pretty much impossible to find these days. I'd have to grey market import this, but this could very well be the iPad replacement for me.

Why do you even want 4 speakers on a tablet ? To have decent sound you need some nice bluetooth speakers. On the tablet or on the phone you wont get any bass and the speakers scream high noise only

The ... Processor and the screen is 12.1 it should have been 13.2 the size they given is way too small. also a speaker upgrade to 4 quadrant to 8 or more for the better speakers support High-Resolution Audio. Xiaomi should lower the prices is too over on our Budget. Just to see other brands improving and more people move on another brands just to have better specs and OS & Hardware.

Jeez - they put out a quality tablet at that low price and you're complaining about 128gb? Go pay the extra 40 bucks/euros for the 256gb version - they're not asking much!

Fantastic.... I mean (not absolutely) fantastic.
3.5mm jack, dolby atmos, latest SD processor and 12" LCD display.
Wow... Only thing left is DOLBY VISION and UFS 3.2
Planning to upgrade it from Redmi Pad

The screen is too big, I miss those compact 7.8" to 8.4" tablet with thin bezel nowadays they are gonna be even more compact

They are both only sold in China at the moment so the only really valid comparison that can be made is the price in China of both. If they were both available in other countries you could compare the prices in other countries but they aren't

We have limits on product price from where we need to pay VAT on that is something like 10-20% of the product price

pl2rts, 11 Apr 2024I just googled this and the price for that Lenovo in giztop... moreI bought the xiaoxin pad pro for 1,399rmb. You could also get it yesterday for that price. The Xiaomi pad 6 pro is currently on sale for 2,299rmb for the same 8gb 128gb base storage but it doesn't even support SD cards so you have to pay more for more storage. The price difference is massive. 1,399rmb is cheaper than the 6gb 128gb gb version of the Redmi pad pro which is 1,499rmb and it's much better. I'm comparing the real prices in China not prices from some third party reseller like giztop who charges whatever they want (not an official price). The Harmon kardon speakers are absolutely top class on the Xiaoxin pad pro 12.7. There is no way anyone objectively could think the Redmi pad pro is better. I still have a Xiaomi pad 4 as well and that actually cost 1,599rmb many years ago in 2018. It's amazing with inflation etc. that I got such a superior tablet many years later for less money!

256gb is enough for me on a phone, but for what I do on a tablet, expandable storage and being able to swap between storage was important.
Lenovo was the other choice, but their OS support is plain abysmal on tablets.

This seems kinda funny. I mean look, we know that Samsung is the first one when it comes to removing SD card slot on their flagship phone, but when it comes to tablet, they're one of the last vendors that still providing SD card slot, even on their flagship tablet. 🤣

So it's basically 100 more then this Redmi Pad Pro.
Also i dont trust Lenovo tablets cause i have one that have 7000mAh battery and being idle as screen shut down over night and it loses over 50% of battery doing nothing.
Also at the price point of this Lenovo you mentioned i would go with Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro that have SD8+ Gen 1 that beats the SD870 in every way possible and also have that 144hz screen.
I dont much care for the speakers on a phone or on a tablet as these are trash. These speakers are ok on everything but for actual sound you need either headphones or speakers
