If HTC provide an update to disable Blinkfeed entirely, I might choose this one as my next phone. That software stopped me buying the HTC One, despite the phone itself being really nice.

I have the HTC One and in no way does this kill the One. Metal body, higher ppi, and the fact that this Butterfly S may never be raleased world wide. It will probably make it to the US but only on Verizon because the were the only carrier to get the first Butterfly coined the DNA by Verizon.

AnonD-86242, 19 Jun 2013No more ultrapixel cameras, please... HTC doesn't learn I guess.Totally agreed. 'UltraPixel' is just a marketing term coined by HTC. It is simply a 4 MP camera with bigger size pixels, thus the name. Low light performance is good but in normal condition, samples are crappy. Why cant it get sharper image in normal conditions?

While I do welcome anything that can rival the One, didn't fully expect that this Butterfly S to be the fierce sibling. Specs-wise it's a done deal. Batt + Micro SD + same APQ8064AB SoC as S4 I9505 (key diff to APQ8064T on One and all the rest SD600 phones; AB are the only one capable to be clocked at 1.9Ghz). Equally a nice surprise and yet also a questionable move on HTC's part.

It's not necessary to piss off One's adopters. Now the only clear advantage there is the alum unibody but not much else. If I were HTC I'd take this lesson to heart moving on forward.

                                /S II GT-I9100G (the S II variant that will take over HD2's longevity ;p) / Android 4.2.2 JDQ39E, PAC-man 20130619 Nightly ROM user.

While it is good and HTC gets props for ... moreMaybe you're right but the camera on this phone is far more better than most of the 8 MP cameras on Chinese phones. The camera would have been better if it was a 13 MP ultra pixel one. Anyways, this phone is good but HTC outdated their flagship with this one.

Yeah that's what the first Butterfly should have been !!! The German Butterfly version has only 16GB !!! without microSD expansion slot !!! and very weak battery !!!

There is no point to sell this phone at all !!! HTC !!!
