LukaRijeka, 12 Oct 2008To comment on the storage... iPhone has no memory card s... moreI totally agree with u bro, as well as u Majestic! I just hope this phone comes to South Africa then I'll be one of the first buyers to pre-order. For a business phone I don't need a 5MP camera but the screen and real keyboard( not keypad), it's everything to me especially because it runs WinMo as I have a Windows XP SP3 PC at home which I'm very much used to(as 80% of the world is used to Windows). Keep posting homies!

Vaan,
8Gb/16GB with its keypad? That thing's gonna very thick since they're flash memories. Also you gonna complain about the the heat of the device because there's isn't enough room for all. Like the iPhone I have, once you turn on the GPS the battery would be like a hot pot (good for the winter LOL). These extra features are designed as "when you need it", not something you can use all day long because they're battery/power killers.
SE has been doing a great job, at least they have way less software/firmware issues compare with Nokia. I love my iPhone but I'm still a SE fan and this thing look outstanding to me

Some additional info:
Yes the phone is partially made by Htc, but SE has patented the panel interface ( works very nice! )
It has a smaller screen than the Htc HD, but is also WVGA.
It works faster than the Diamond ( yeah, have that too ) and the qwerty works like a charm as well.
So it's not outdated, but everyone should understand that bringing the X1 together with the Pro and the Diamond would've been poor marketing on Htc's side.
Besides, the Pro uses a 1340mh battery and the X1 uses a 1500mh monster..
All in all, don't talk down the phones / brands you don't like,
just buy one that matches your style of use. In my case, I'll be one happy X1 user. Available in the Netherlands from week 43. Aprox 730 euro's...
Greetz!

Well I've tested this supermachine in my shop, last week.. It's an absolute marvel!!
Sony Ericsson will introduce a specific hotline for X1 users, and SE will ship a 4gb card when the phone is registered.
Furthermore, as cool as it is, complete salespackages with everything included kills the phonebusiness..
There are very few options for additional sales left if every manufacturer includes things like memorycards, and carchargers (N96) and pouches etc etc.
But, back to the X1, it'll defenitely be my very next phone, now that I've worked with it, it'll be a much needed, and less anoying swap for my N96.
Get one!!! ;)

Anonymous, 12 Oct 2008Thought having a "comments" section actually helps people l... moreHahaha..totally agree with you dude..
those people are saying this is good and all, while they don't know each and every features it has..
Yes you're right, this phone arrives pretty late..
It does use windows 6.1 that was out like couple of months back..
and they only improve it on it's new interface looks..
the rest are pretty much the same..
I'd say go for htc touch pro, it's looks sleeker

No double posting please. Okay I am sorry if I have upset anyone by starting the "it doesn't have 8 or 16 gig of onboard memory at this price range give me a break" thingy. By the look of this phone it looks great, better then the HTC I reckon.

To comment on the storage...
iPhone has no memory card slots, it depends only on it's internal memory, while other manufacturers use memory cards as the main storage for their phones.
This lets you have practically unlimited amount of data with you (on price dropping memory cards, they mostly support up to 16 GB)
I also like this, as it's enough to have a few hundred MB on the device to store my applications, ringtones... And for my multimedia collection (videos, music, photos) i use memory cards.

Anonymous, 11 Oct 2008Have you ever tried to type w/ onscreen keyboard?! Real key... moreIMHO a puny "real" keyboard does not beat a good virtual keyboard in terms of typing speed. It does increase weight and complexity hence price. *I* would rather want a bigger screen and no keyboard at the same weight and price.

I really don't care about the camera.. its a business phone.. even 2MP camera is good for me.. if the camera is essential for u then pick up the C905.
