Anonymous, 11 Apr 2024Why hasn't the US blocked Intel from selling to Huawei... moreI think it is all about licenses, Intel got a license when trump was still on the white house while amd also tried to get a license to sell to Huawei when biden was on the white house, I don't know if amd lose or their petition to have a license to sell their processors to Huawei is still on hold, so for now Amd and some american senators are trying to push the biden admin to revoke intel's license to sell chips because they fear they can lessen the sales of their macbook on China or should I say be used on "military" purposes.

Lb7500, 11 Apr 2024Huaweii has stolen tech secreta from the western companies…... moreYou do realize Korea or Japan did the same thing, right? Copying western tech and based on that doing their won research.
Yet I don't see you criticizing them or their companies for that.
It's not like west is not doing any IP theft and such, or won't do in case China will be ahead in something.
So why the hypocrisy? It's just pathetic.

At home after work i am a heavy gamer its part of my resting. Were gaming since my father bought to me and my brother Commodore 64 40 yyears ago.
Since then games are part of my life and i enjoy them on my Laptop or cell phone.
At home have Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16ACH6H a 16 inch 4K capable laptop powered by AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with 32GB ram and a Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 8GB with a 1TB Disk space.
For this thing i paid at 21.9.2021 1790 euros and it works flawlesly. Had 460 hours when i completed Asssins Creed Oddysey at 100% game complete.
Now have over 300 hours on Assasins Creed Valhalla and playing many else games at most i mean ultra details. Completed Doom eternal plus both datadisks etc.
Its a beast but its heavy like 2,5 or 3 kilos plus using external cooler and a limited edition Razer Naga Hex Leagues of Legends edition mouse and a Razer Kraken World of Tanks edition earpphones. But after 2 and half years it never failed me. When the Diablo 4 been released it worked for 3 days in a row without any issues. It was hot as hell after that but keeps its job.
Well Lenovo notebooks are really something.

From experience, i don’t recommend thin & powerful x86 laptops. The cooling/battery life on most of them is really bad.

You’re better off buying two separate devices:
              - lightweight underpowered laptop for mobility
              - thick budget gaming laptop at home (or even better: gaming handheld with KB/M & portable monitor)

              Alternatively:
              - Thin laptop with a really good CPU (No dedicated GPU)
              - eGPU at home

Cpt.Power, 11 Apr 2024Honestly looks beastly and very awesome but i am worry that... moreYes.. Apple's air (thin) Macbook are using their most efficient SoC variant while the thicker (Pro) version using Pro / Ultra / Max SoC variant (hotter and consume more battery).

Then I confuse why do many Windows laptop manufacturer include Huawei using high perfomance SoC variant instead of U series SoC on their ultrathin notebook (ultrabook)?

People who buy super ultra thin notebook prefer lighter body. The don't even care on super top perfomance but it getting hot and drain battery more. They prefer U variant SoC (less perfomance CPU and GPU) even without a fan is better because it will save more power consumption because there is no power consumption from the fan.

But I don't know whether Core Ultra U series and Ryzen 8040 U series can work fanless.

Even for that the Mba is a better choice, thin, light, no heat, no sound
This is an attempt to Mbp 14 but i bet this will barely hold a candle to the M3 Mba because of the poor cooling for that ultra 9

I know, my wife has one with base config, and it's much smoother than a much more versatile G14 laptop. Choose wisely depending on your needs.
