Nobody would play a heavy game while charging its device.
And even phones with slow charging will overheats if playng the game while charging.
Had plenty of phones in my life every of them was hot when playing the game and charging at the same time.
Thats why i dont play the games and dont use my phone while its being charged.
Have zero issues with my Motorola Edge 40 pro and after almost a year bought last week of July in 2023 still have 98% battery capacity. Still last 8 hours when gaming untill battery gets depleted.

Using Motorola edge 40 Ultra since last week of July 2023 and doing only fastcharging i am a heavy gamer so i charge my phone every day sometimes even twice a day and still have 98% battery capacity. And still is chargeed within 10-15 minutes from flat to full.

Xiaomi, Samsung, Apple and few else cost way over 1000 and dont comes with equal specs nor in equall acessories in box.
      Stop talking nonsense.
Even at 1200 price this phone will be worth to buy.

        Anonymous, 13 Apr 2024E40U doesn’t exist, Cpt.China.Its called edge 40 pro i know that.

Aierlan, 13 Apr 2024It will have a better main camera too than the edge 40 pro.... moreWell it seems to. But still i am not going to upgrade my Edge 40 Ultra this year. I am not buying new phone every year but every two.
So the 60 edge ultra will be even better and will be my next main phone for next two years. then it will be replaced by 80 Edge ultra or simmilar clean android device with no One UI, Color OS etc. Bloatware.

Super fast charging is only gimmick and useless, if it doesnt come with 7 years warranty for zero case of overheating and bloating battery.

Higher speed charging = higher probability of overheating + bloating battery.

The ultra fast charging phones that I have, 50W and above, are from vivo, Infinix and Motorola.

"Outer heat is not proper way to measure."

So, how exactly would one measure the heat inside of a phone?

"If you use 12W, your phone is going to be cooler compared to using 80W on same phone."

No thanks, I'm absolutely not leaving any of my phones on the charger through the whole night ever again, in no way does that feel or sound safe. Plus I'm not going to charge my phones with chargers that aren't made for them.

Phones with better cooling gonna kick heat out easier.
This is why rear can get very hot compared to other.

If you use 12W, your phone is going to be cooler compared to using 80W on same phone.
Impossible for phone with 15, 20, 30W to reach 56 celsius like some xiaomi phones with more than 100W. Not even when battery is old.

Not even my previous with SD810 got that hot while using 15W (it had 18W support).

Of course, and it doesn't matter in this case, I have phones with plastic frame plus faux leather back that have fast 68W charging, but also ones with the same build, but only 33W charging, and the EXTERNAL heat of the slower charging phone is always noticeably hotter. Same thing with phones that have aluminum and glass build, which I also have, with charging speeds ranging from 15W-125W, the slower charging phones get hotter and stay hotter for way longer. Not to mention that I've tried, and sometimes I had to use slow charging on a phone that would otherwise have faster charging, and the same phone got hotter with slower charging, even though both chargers used, were made by and for the same brand. Yes, I do use my hands, what difference does that make, when one feels hot, but the other doesn't?

Plus it's not that I haven't seen a fast charging phone become too hot, it just wasn't in a normal situation, it happened when my phone was at 0%, and it was one, that hadn't been charged for months, given that most people don't have multiple phones, this is a highly unlikely and unrealistic scenario. In addition due to it's "cold"start, it took more than twice the usual time to have it fully charged, which is likely what caused it to overheat.

Note that I do not use any of my phones while they are charging, ever.

"Do you use thermometer to measure or just hands?"

I will look into it and purchase a thermometer soon, got me interested in it.

Oh now that's definitely not true. All of my phones (doesn't matter which brand, original charger, or not) with 33W or below charging speeds get incredibly hot, in the same room, and at the same time as my phones with 50W or faster charging stay significantly cooler.

"Some xiaomi phones pass 50 celsius by far."

That's Xiaomi, the Edge 30 Ultra for example has no such issues.

Fast charging is proven (many vids on youtube) to make phone as hot when person is playing heavy games. Above 44 celsius. Some xiaomi phones pass 50 celsius by far.
