Because those batteries get damaged and degraded just like every other lithium battery out there, phone batteries get degraded after that time too, but let's frame that like TWS buds are shite and get paranoid.
Even if you handle cables correctly, constantly moving them will eventually break them, also jacks can be easily damaged on a whim, but but wired better. Just accept there are pros and cons to stuff outside your comfort zone instead of keeping a closed mind.
And before you keep spouting copium, I'm a wired headphone user, I've been using Sony headphones for years.

The removal of 3.5 mm jack was not because it's old tech but companies want you to purchase wireless shit again and again. You are victim of the scheme.

MindTheGap, 16 Apr 2024Tbh this is makes sense in some side... while my alter ego ... moreYou have the right to have your personal opinion, especially if you're truly not that concerned at all about cameras and all that. However, it still doesn't take away the fact that this 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro camera combo is already long overdue for an upgrade since 3 years ago. And since the price is already getting close to $500 already anyways, they might as well just go all-in and give us good camera hardware altogether. They've probably saved up about $100 just by using plastic frame and back, so I can't see it as a cost-cutting reason to cheap out on the camera hardware when they've already saved up so much from using inferior quality build materials.

Anonymous, 16 Apr 2024"Bro forgot that technological standards can, and do, ... moreOh yes, the "Bluetooth audio bad" argument, you can say whatever you want, but TWS buds aren't near bad as you folks claim to, durability issues aside, yet y'all keep pushing that over and over again like most consumers would care, and given the variety of buds offered on the market right now, it's because people find them convenient for most use cases.
Unless you have expensive wired headphones, audio quality differences are close to nil for most blokes, and yeah, there are bad and cheap wired headphones too, yet you guys focus only on subpar buds, high res audio codecs have improved Bluetooth audio.
Or you just can buy a dongle.

The same reason why I don't want Asus to upgrade the camera on their ROG phone. It's a gaming phone, and gaming is the main focus of the phone. If I really look for a great camera phone, I might go for another flagship phone.

We know that this phone is intended for those who only use the camera in emergencies and will not use it every day. I even think that removing the UW and Macro cameras would be a better idea to keep the price lower, but I know I will getting cancelled because "in this price point a phone must has a good UW camera no matter the main propose of the phone!!!".
That's just an opinion though. An opinion can be bad, right?

MindTheGap, 16 Apr 2024And pay $15 more? Nah I won't.Is it even close to $15 when you are replacing TWO low-quality image sensors with ONE good-quality sensor?
An old 1/3" Sony IMX sensor probably doesn't cost that much nowadays, and by using it for ultra-wide camera, as well as giving it the auto-focusing capability, you're essentially getting both the ultra-wide and macro cameras in just ONE single sensor that takes up much LESS space than having two independent sensors.
I'd say the upgrade would cost up to $10 at most, and you'd certainly take it if it means that the ulta-wide camera images are actually something that you'd more than be happily sharing because of the significantly better image quality. Of course, it's still NOT flagship-grade, but you can make it close to that through the help of GCAM. But the key important aspect here is that by just adding $10 more at most, you're getting TWO good to very good quality rear cameras instead of having just the main sensor taking very good images.
I mean, aren't you disappointed that a 2018 Redmi K20 Pro has the same exact ultra-wide and macro cameras as your upcoming 2024 Poco F6 Pro? Literally 6 years have passed and Xiaomi still insists on using that same exact sensor, when even Samsung and Apple already upgrade theirs after just about 4 generations?

Anonymous, 15 Apr 2024He obviously meant that you can't be expecting the sam... moreIt doesn't necessarily have to be a flagship-grade quality sensor, but at least an old 12MP 1/3" IMX sensor would've costed almost just as much as the price of that 6-year old 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro camera sensors, that are already bound for a significant upgrade already, right? And that one single sensor takes significantly less amount of space, while offering significantly better image quality as well, and could even function as a macro-camera by giving it an auto-focus capability, which fulfills the duties of the two sensors into just one simple ultra-wide camera.
We surely aren't expecting the best camera for sure, but just because it is marketed as a gaming/performance device, doesn't necessarily mean that they could get away with this as a justification for having super outdated hardware already.
Imagine, my 2019 Redmi K30 5G actually has the same exact ultra-wide and macro camera set-up as this "2024" mid-range phone. Even OnePlus upgrades their sensors after about 3 generations for their mid-range devices, so what's stopping Xiaomi from doing this bare minimum thing?
