Invetor, 16 Apr 2024I've heard 1+ has horrible customer service in India. In my city, at least, the service is great, I've had my phone battery replaced for a good discount once, and they served coffee as well, while the phone was being repaired. It was a hassle free experience

Besides not handling service claims properly, all the other reasons are bs and banning oneplus is nothing more than a temper tantrum

They have to understand that they are dealing with a Chinese company. And they dont play by the rules.

Thumbnail says OnePlus sells TV's. 🤣

First they ask companies to sale offline too , after that they complain margin is too low.
All the given reasons are them just being greedy.

As someone who has visited a local mobile retail stores in a big city in India, it's just not always easy to find the phone that you want. Oneplus has their own offline store here, similar to Apple. I understand the gripe these brick and mortar shop owners have with online sales and stuff, but they aren't really that flexible. For eg, I don't think a retailer would take back a phone or exchange it if you have an issue.

Oneplus is actually a cheap chinese phone rebranded with english words.

Smart people won't spend above $500 buying chinese phone. There are other better brand with longer software support, worldwide official stores and better aftersales than OnePlus.

It's nothing shady, everyone should know basic ecommerce. They are expecting oneplus and poco to stop selling device online at low discount to get more margin on offline buyers. Why you ask? Running an offline shop means paying utility bills and rent so they can never compete with online market. Not sure about other things like service claims cause once its sold its not retailers responsibility anymore and they just ask you to take the device to service center.
