im a samsung user since before.. i got galaxy s1, s2 , s3 and s4 their ui are almost the same but the screen display is too much saturated, real colour is a big no no...and i've realized that there's no white in screen but it's bluish...about the camera its so so... when i transferred my photos from fone to pc it turns out differently-the colour is really different it's dull...i was really disappointed. my s4 sometimes lag and couple of restarts. i just bought xperia z last week and i was really surprise of the screen a very sharp and brillant colour than my s4 :( really big difference!!..my xperia z last for 3 days with mobile data on,gaming ,music,taking photo while my s4 lasts only 1 day and 2 hours :(... about the camera-xperia z is really superb i tried taking picture in complete darkness with auto mode and i was really amazed with the xperia z performance and i was really surprised when i transferred it on pc because the photo turns out whats in the phone...SONY is better than SAMSUNG... im now waiting for the xperia zr which is WATERPROOF.. because my xperia z is just water resist... i wont buy s4 active anymore still water resist...

So you want a phone with a 2.1 speaker system? Please tell me it comes with a woofer with built-in bluetooth for that. Ont top of that, it's waterproof too.

Xperia Z is not a shock resistant phone. It did not get a certification for shock. Also, Galaxy S4 Active has IP67 rating, unlike XZ's IP57 rating. IP67 is a better dust resistant rating.
Also, you dont have to plug all the little holes in your phone on the Galaxy to be waterproof. On sony, if you forget to plug your headset your phone is GONE. haha dont even compare.

There's no doubt that Galaxy line smartphones will still outsell any Android phones at the moment. HTC One may be the closest competitor, not Xperia Z.
You need to remember than Samsung just need to produce something equally good or slightly better than their competitors, not drastically better than the rest. I would say that is a smart move since they can still sell extremely well as long as they are still in the game.
The competitors need to buck up and try build a smartphone that is way better than Galaxy line and better marketing to start crunching the sales figure.

happy atlast to see rain proof phone.. samsung is loosing sales.. u can see urself..it had to launch so many products to compete....
"samsung thought iphone as its only competetor , now seeing htc design, sony waterproof huawei mega screen and nokia eos camera it is verymuch insecure... wants to break into each by launching different products..ina hurry attempt it has failed to see the pricetag of its own device.. what a pity lg is eating into it...
just imagine
s4 with 20mp cam, water and shatter proof build , 3 years warrenty , 2.1 speakers,4200mah battery.. samsung could have sacrificed thiness as a feature and added these..it wod have been master piece and crown for next 3 years... samsung wasted an oppertunity.

Competition influences other brands, evolving them and making them more competitive. We may have to thank Sony (Xperia Z) for this. And it's us consumers who will benefit in the end. Well, my iphone 5 has to thank Android for influencing Apple to update its previously dated OS to iOS7. And probably Xperia Z Ultra's future success is wholly influenced by the phablet called Galaxy Note phones. And the list goes on...

Nice design!For Samsung @ least.Nice to see Sony influencing a lot of makers to make high end water/dust resistant smartphones.Long gone the days when you hear there's a water proof phone & say oh a bad no feature phone.Thank Sony for that!!!Sony setting the trend others must follow.This year Sony gonna shine!Currently using a Xperia V,love this amazingly light durable phone.Going get the Xperia ZR soon!I'm sticking to water/dust resistant phones,those Sony made!I do hope the beast of a camera phone what Sony gonna launch is along that same line:-).Just gotta love Sony,hate also because we was&going back #1!!!I'm from a beautiful little island name St.Vincent and The Grenadines.Google it!!!
