Hmmm, this phone seems to get all the essentials right aside from the SoC. Yes, big storage is essential if you don't want to be constantly running out of it. A bright display is also important for outdoor usage. The cameras don't need to be prioritized on at this price. But the SoC performance is inadequate, not for games, but for bloated OS performance. I tried a Redmi phone with a 4 Gen 1 and it lagged and hesitated just navigating through the home screen.

      Are these snapdragon 4 and 6 series exclusive to vivo. I ask because samsung or motorola or oneplus seem to avoid it.

        it could be digitally controlled for 5 seconds , 10 seconds, 1minutues?

              Rookie Man, 21 Apr 2024Unfair always in China available.In China , people throw their phones after 1-2 years of usage in trash & due to in country chip making, advance development in I/O Electronics & Plants of almost 98% companies, China is first & travel cost reduction means more affordable. But Just Rebranded T3x with 4 Gen 2 & 1000 nits IPS isn't impressive as I recently tested Vivo T3x.

                base level phones and have a 50mp cam, which sounds great. i guess when you get them at this level now it truely means they have become the new 12mp [even though them an 10mp ones still get trotted out for the pointless extra modules].

                    Every pixel has to illuminate for OLED which is not the best at peak brightness but is an advantage when dimming

                    This is ignoring and assuming OLED not using all the other fancy materials for efficiency for illumination and stuff like dual OLED stacks

                      Damn first the realme 12x with 950 nits and now this with 1000nits LCD

                      And no review possibility insight for gsmarena to test these claims

                          Minu, 21 Apr 2024The Nokia 701 made it possible 12 years agoLCDs are typically in the 300 to 600 nit range, so a 1000 nit LCD is indeed impressive. It's probably a lot more inefficient than a 1000 nit OLED though...

                                That's a hell lot of phones for the Y200 Series but I can't complain about that cuz Xiaomi already did that many times too

                                Also this phone is not that bad specs is good especially that IP64 rating,a very rare thing seen in a Vivo phone like this.Hopefully it will release with a reasonable price

                                        Yet another spam, having a big 512GB of storage and big 6000mAh battery is always nice but not for the price its too expensive for whats matter, vivo should used at least the 6G1 or lower the price to 200$ for the 512GB option and got rid of the lower storage options instead
