The only problems I see in Motorolas are the sheer number of framework apps and far lesser security patches in comparison to Nokia's phone

I know in some countries that is not a issue, here it is.

If you don't mind playing it harder, you can just custom-ROM it (if it uses Snapdragon and unlockee ofc). Even better, with custom-ROM, you're not stuck with Motorola. You can uses almost any unlocked Xiaomi/Samsung/OnePlus that uses Snapdragon and custom ROM it if you really want a close-to-stock experience.

Moto X50 Ultra thats soubds like a Honor Magic Porsche design.
This could be Motorola X50 Ulta Formula 1 style or Formula Rosa style etc.

899 eur here in Slovakia for a 16/1TB in peach fuzz color. While Samsung at Samsung store is 959 euros for 8/256GB.
Its even better than more costiel S24 plus and apart the S pen i would say its better than S24 ultra in every aspecs maybe apart the chipset. But benchmark numbers are just papaer score.
In real life use is equally smooth on running any app or game.

It cost lot of disk space and data every update once per 3 months is okay. Even once half year i am fine with it on my Motorola edge 40 pro.- After year of use had zero issues with my phone.

Some brand slike Apple, Samsung or Google release updates every week or two mostly bug fixes. I am tired of downloading every a while something. Data aint cheap. Wifi aint everywhere.

It does not bother me every other day like with samsng when update cost lots of data and disk space every other day i have to download it.
Once per 3 months is more than enough and unlike Samsung, Apple or Google is not just bugfixes only.

Aierlan, 22 Apr 2024I found them good enough for updates on my last phone. The... moreAs a Motorola user myself I don't agree.

Their updates are flip a coin as to stability, their A14 messed-up some stuff and they tell you with a big smile that the next security patch or the one after that will fix it.

That's 2 to 4 months of waiting to fix bugs, my phone is a important tool and while the bug is luckily not that severe, if it was they would let us wait for so long anyhow.

In this new quarterly scenario that would mean 3 to 6 months of waiting for a patch.

I buy Motorola phones because I like the vanilla Android look but don't want a Tensor chip (so no Pixel for me)

But even as a Motorola smartphone user since over 13 years, after Lenovo bought them the support and amount of bugs in the OS kept growing.

So while I like the hardware, I would never defend their software side.

Defending it would be ignoring the issues, which is the reason they still exist.

Anonymous, 22 Apr 2024That would be fine on a 1000 euro phone if they didn't... moreI found them good enough for updates on my last phone. The updates weren't the fastest but each update had a very long changelog with very good improvements to the software and additional features added. The updates were very transparent saying exactly what was being changed. I prefer that than brands who just give security updates on most of the updates with little optimisations or improvements.
