YUKI93, 28 Apr 2024At this point, the only reason to get the Samsung is becaus... moreBut DeX alone is not enough to offset the other greater downsides of OneUI.

1.BLOATWARE
OneUI is among the most bloated UIs among all smartphone brands & that is not something you'd like to see in a flagship device.
Can you believe that there are 2 copies of most of apps that do similar thing (1 copy from GMS & 1 copy from Samsung's own) along with a plethora of Pre-installed apps/services that are impossible to delete/disable.

2. INTEGRATION/COMPATIBILITY
Even among the Pre-installed apps & services, most of them are only compatible with another Samsung product. That compatibility/integration with others is as good as non-existent...Even a Stock Android phone will connect much easier to other brand product than any Samsung phone.

3. DESIGN
OneUI is in 6th edition now & still its very inconsistent. At some places it feels like designed for one hand use while at other,it feels cluttered, impossible for one hand use, like Notification panel after 6.0 update-it takes up entire screen area even on Ultra display sizes.
Also Design looks very much outdated,it's almost the same design from OneUI 1.0 h made very little progress.Just look at Pixel UI,it looks much more refreshing & modern.

4. UI ANIMATION,RESPONSE
Design aside,OneUI feel quite sluggish to use as well even on a flagship device. Compared to touchwiz era, things are much better as UI has improved quite a bit h SoCs have become vastly more powerful but still Samsung is far behind UI responsiveness compared to Stock UIs like Pixel & Nothing UI.
Similar story with Animations as well as it doesn't even feel like using 120Hz Display.

If I were to compare OneUI to iOS then I'd say that while iOS looks dated but its much more consistent & Animations, responsiveness is much better.

So with all that said hope next OneUI updates clears some bloatware & unnecessary services or make them uninstallable atleast while focusing heavily on UI responsiveness, animations & Design consistency.

YUKI93, 28 Apr 2024And still the same 4400mAh battery with 25W wired charging.... moreSamsung sells about 10.000.000 Z series per year.
Do honor, xiaomi, oppo and vivo can together sell 500.000?

      Finally the squared Note edges!
Lets see if my carrier offers it in a credit.

YUKI93, 28 Apr 2024At this point, the only reason to get the Samsung is becaus... moreThis is an understatement. They are one of the only skins still letting users use the "classic" quick settings and not forcing the user into an iOS knockoff.

Some of your sources are contradicting each other. In other words, we don't know anything so far.

Stranno, 28 Apr 2024We know it will be a disappointment, like every single Fold... moreAt this point, the only reason to get the Samsung is because of the software experience. For me, the only saving grace for Samsung that makes me still looking at them is DeX. I use it on my Note8 and it has been a great experience. Had if not because of DeX, I won't even bother looking at any modern Samsung flagship phones.

And still the same 4400mAh battery with 25W wired charging. The Chinese are literally leaving Samsung in the dust in the foldable phone game.

Why even get a fold when you gonna use it most i folded state. Im fold user and and use is may be 50/50 between the two screens. And square inner display is nearly unusable.

If the launch is rumored to happen in July, why are we discussing "what we know so far" two months earlier?!!

All of these folding screen phones...I would be using the CLOSED screen most of the time and don't like a THIN NARROW screen. I'd prefer a WIDER screen.

22:9 is still too narrow. There's a reason no slab phones have that aspect ratio. Lazy design again. You think by gen 6 they would have moved further forward in design by now!

We know it will be a disappointment, like every single Fold since Fold 3, that's for sure.

7.6'' again when there have been 8.03'' phones for 1+ years is pretty damn lame.

Samsung is among the laziest companies of all time 🥱

                              Yeah, no.
I,d still rather use a small phone coupled with an actual tablet.
Phablets, whether foldable or not, will always be a half-way solution.

Wider cover display is very much so welcome.

The more I read about those two the more I feel like I'm sticking with 5. 15 grams and 1.5mm is not worth 2k
