HMD Pulse Pro might be launching this week

23 April 2024
A now taken down listing from a European retailer strongly hints at this.

These look like very decent specifications, for a phone made in 2018/2019.

Very very wrong hardware and price choice, it should have been 3.5inch 360×640 pixels, 12 MP, 1/1.83", AF Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash, ND, 720p@25fps, VGA Video call camera, 680 MHz ARM 11, Broadcom BCM2727 GPU and Non-removable Li-Ion 1200 mAh battery. All these running Android 14. The price should be no more than $999.

          > Allegedly it has "regular security updates". No idea what that means - maybe it's for one off patches every once in a while? That or they forgot to remove it considering other really old Vivo phones are listed there as well.
"Regular security updates" is probably just Biannual security updates, or yeah, maybe they just forgot to remove those phones from there.

Old Nokia had 3 OS updates, new Nokia has only 2 OS updates! What?!

Didn't you mean Nokia? Since you can't figure it out?

HMD is out of their freakin' minds. They call a phone with HD+ screen, Unisoc chipset a PRO? What a big joke!

Can you give me the website link? Now I'm curious lol.

Minu, 23 Apr 2024At least, a Unisoc T820 would've been a better choice ... moreVivo Y series is really... something lol. I understand that they're not as overpriced as Oppo A series, but putting their phone as the same price as Samsung is not really a good idea, considering people will just choose Samsung instead.

I like Vivo's designs too, but the problem I have with Vivo is their bloatware. I wouldn't mind brands asking for a premium, only if they have anything to justify it.

As HMD is Finland brand and a lot of fins workers who probably all get paid based on the values of Finland so they need to have there product expensive to have money to pay all the wages just like Fariphone that talks about European workers and equal pay is why there trash is so expensive.
