Surely a snapdragon 7 is worse than my edge 30 ultras 8+1. Makes no sense to put a worse chip in a newer phone when you can get the edge 30 ultra for less.

Overpriced and bad for reparability, sounds like another company named after a fruit...
In all seriousness though, if Motorola put the 7+ gen 3 in their edge 50 pro and 8 gen 3 in the ultra, it would be so much more competitive in the market.
