Apple reportedly cuts Vision Pro production as demand falls sharply

lol At nearly $4000 with AppleCare, taxes, and accessories, who was expecting this crap to sell like hotcakes. With many people struggling to justify even a $2,000 laptop. let alone new experimental (first gen) vr headset with half-baked software, lack of apps, etc at that price point. That’s more than most people’s rent.

To be honest..,. when was the demand high for this money-snatcher crap?
As far as I remember there was no any demand for it.
Apple, you too, now step back and follow Samsung footprints! :D

[deleted post]You mean the same fool, who keeps selling iPhones and iPads to millions of people while keeping away his family from them or the internet, is insensitive?

No surprise here. And they gonna have to cut it more (in price and production). What were they expecting? price's too high, it's a gimmick really (putting some bulky headsets so see "ios" in 3D? gimme a break), uncomfortable, battery life's poor etc only suitable to rich kids to show their friends and tech geeks guineas who like to try new stuff...
I'm calling this a big fail since the start.
Thing is, tech industry is running out of ideas and the big question in their mind is "with the tech that we have now, how can we rip more money from customers?". It's this VR thing and also AI...AI will be big, but not now because tech isn't ready, a lot to progress. So they're stuck between a rock and a hard place on how to make more money...

Not surprisingly at all 🙄
Big ass goggles that bump out from your face is a dumb thing ever made. Be it Apple own Vision Pro or Meta Quest or any other VR/XR elephant ass goggles out there in the market right now 🤦🏻♂️

These 3D type form factors failed many times since it's inception! These type of devices don't attract many. It may be useful for very few who actually can benefit from! Having since a huge head gear covering your eyes is the worst form factor Steve Jobs would never have approved! It will look comical someone wearing this!

Well, if they actually worked with pr0n industry to have a good integration then i would say they would really have a big push in sales.

Yea not having a killer app or a proper use case in their marketing other than being a monitor or an iPad really doesn't say longevity. Let's see when developers find a use case for it and/or when the cheaper Vision (non-pro) comes out.
