Of course when you benchmark and gaming CPU usage is not always 100%, sometimes 40% 50%... but it still consumes more than this little Snapdragon.

Like what kind of thought process is this?

Announced today for high volume and for average consumer level products. Its was officially mentioned in fall last year and the Qualcomm event yet NOBODY cared to READ nor tune into the Day 2 full 2 hrs session.

Once lenovo, dell and hp adopt elite in 2025, it will kill i9 and plus will kill i7. Give a cheaper variant and it will kill i5,too

Crazy how technology improves." - This is not improvement, it is difference between ARM architecture and x86. Mobile chips has less instruction sets, which makes them less dense inside and less power hungry. Can be clocked at higher speeds, but requires more cycles to process longer calculations.

Yeah, bring it on. Intel has been a dead zombie for too long. Somebody really needs to put the last nail on the coffin.

haha I have high hopes for this .and lol I am not expecting this to be able to play triple AAA TITLES ON MAX SETTINGS with playable fps nor am i expecting it to run blender or maya with zero lags and unparalleled render times. But at least it has to offer great battery life obviously, with above average perfomamce regardless if u r pluged in or not. that would be good start no?

And of course, the most important of all. out of the box Linux platform support for this , including GPU drivers.
