And not only that the economic area where statistically speaking the population is largely middle class with the disposable income to outright buy multiple apple products at full price and several services to go along with them.
That 1.8 billion fine is nothing to Apple when it comes to the EU, it may start stinging if it becomes a recurring thing, but what you suggest makes no financial sense whatsoever for Apple, they are actually better off bending the knee.

Life is SO much simpler with an ordinary Android phone. That said why let Apple trouble you in this way at all? when the web , YouTube alone has ALL the free music and video you will ever need and you can legally record all of it on your phone IF you bought one that records MP3s in HD from RDS FM radio stations?
Of course NO recent Android phones CAN do this as it is not only Apple who are relentless and greedy. At the moment if you have a Windows PC with a Soundcard and a wave recording programme like Creative supply with most of their soundcards, you can record the entire online content with that. You wont get the videos that go with though, just the sound.
I have never understood why anyone would BUY tracks that are freely available, but then I am an old age pensioner with a little wisdom. I never bought cancer in a Teflon-coated pan or Air-Fryer either, or became massively obese as I kept eating Macs and Pizzas. Laziness dooms itself: and apps like Spotify are aimed at like convenience with all its problems.
At the moment iOS is so buggy that I am unable to import my own work into my iPad, let alone transfer my Music library over from my iMac, so using Spotify would be a way out of iOS problems !!!

Android is clearly better. Just bought a oneplus 12 for my partner. Clearly better than Apple. Besides. This is the problem with hedging inside Apple corps hegemony. You end up restricted. Too much.
