lol, 25 Jun 2013Should've made the bezels smaller. The screen is already th... morethey need those bezels for the IR emitter. the new touch tech uses IR leds on the sides to detect touch input. now, you can use anything to interact with the device. you can even use a paint brush. it can also detect pressure. you no longer need to carry a stylus with you.

Sony's screen always have the best colour but the worse viewing angles. 3,000mah battery seems to be a bit under, but since the screen size is about 1/2 of tablet Z, the battery should be ok for a day.

Sometimes too simple is just not happening!! Just flat front n back and a rectangular shape is already seen even in previous xperia phones..
the thinness is a milestone but wt. is not less than a stone... I don't mind a little thickness but i do mind the wt. n shape...
Everything left is incredible, the snapdragon 800 processor, the 1080p screen @ 344ppi.. hope they have solved the viewing angles distortion.. This is a device worth waiting for..

no IGZO screen? no flash? a weak battery? no scrtach-resistance glass?

i am disappointed. i will wait for the Note3 and then decide which to purchase. :/

too bad. i believed i will buy the Xperia ZU but now it seems like a half-baked product.

To all those complaining about the battery - the slimness comes at a cost. Had it been 4000 mAh and a couple of cm thick you haters would have whined - "that thick - no way!". We do not know anything about the battery related performance- so stop assuming. pen/pencil/stylus, thinnest, biggest, fastest processor and waterproof - that is a feature set unlike gimmicks. The display is greatly improved with great viewing angles (just saw a comparison at esato). That leaves only the flash to moan about. Size is a matter of choosing - no one is forcing you. All else is trolling.

AnonD-13628, 25 Jun 2013Waiting for the note 3 if it can bite this one or not. Either will be amazing. Though I will def prefer Note3 with 1080p Amoled, camera flash, 13mp, and S pen, and almost guaranteed much larger removable battery. Of course neither can use a Li-Poly :(

Though this boast a cool new display and IP58. But lack of flash, and 3,000Mah battery might disappoint many. What was Sony thinking?

Sony is at the top innovating again! No need for fat samsung devices.. just to include spen? haha.. spen is old news and make phone fat!

Sony proves this with the ability to use ANY pen!

But being sore losers.. samsung will do the same anyway in the future .. and copies.

AnonD-158800, 25 Jun 2013dude this is the honami..No, it's not. Honami/i1 is rumored to be announced at a later point, some say thursday, and it directs more focus to the camera.

Togari is the previous codename for ZU. Essentially all specs in the ZU/Togari rumor came true. But I doubt there will be yet another phablet from Sony, with the only defference being the camera. Hopefully it's true, and hopefully it's much smaller than 6.4"
I'm a bit disappointed over the battery for this very large screen.

AnonD-80220, 25 Jun 2013you are nitpickerActually battery is very poor.
Snapdragon 800 with 2.2GHz and 6.44inch 1080p new tech display and only 3,000MAH battery non removable Li-Ion is kind of a let down. Also down to 8mp"not the worst thing" and lack of camera flash kinda make you wanna go..WHY SONY!?
So no. They are not nit picking. They calmly made a wise statement.
