Do you eve... morethat is overstatement do you know that? and to begin with why do you like to upped everything? even the original joycon is only 60$ and Id rather get the switch pro than to get a joycon, and beside, its not everything there is, you disregard its very spec, do you think the obsolete tegra x1 is as costly as a snapdragon 7 gen 3? obviously no its very cheap since its ancient technology with cheap 16nm fab cost, then you also disregard the 5G cellular modem arm phone has which would usually a tablet with wifi only and a tablet with 5G cell have a different of 75-100$ in their base price, next there is also the LPDDR4X RAM which only 4GB and phone nowadays on that price has a minimum of 8GB even to the point of 12GB and some even has moved to using LPDDR5, and lets not forget the very cheap 32GB of emmc where phone nowadays already using a minimum of UFS 2.2 storage with a capacity of at least 256GB, there are also those that still have 128GB but the cost of UFS 2.2 is much more expensive than emmc and not to mention the capacity, then theres also the camera where phone nowadays use like 3-4 cameras where each would cost at least 50-150$, and that still hasnt mention the panel they use, the switch use a 720p LCD (OLED on the OLED model but that adding 50$ cost) where phone nowadays already using AMOLED at 1080p and with all the 90-120hz panel which obviously would cost more, and dont forget the gorilla glass, alpha schott, panda glass and any other protection glass it came with and also they would still give preinstalled screen protector
      and you said the dock and joycon and hdmi cable (which is actually very cheap, you can find a 25$ hdmi cable and its already good quality) can cover the costs of those cutting hardwares? its the fact that nintendo raking in huge profit by selling the switch alone as opposed to what sony and microsoft did with their PS5 and XBOX series X where they dont make profit from the console and relies on the games they sell as the profits, why turning a blind eyes?

If someone says that something is overpriced, why would you tell him the price of it? Yes, you can buy a low-quality third-party Switch dock for about $30. It may damage the Switch, though. Many people had issues with third-party Switch docks. Third-party Switch docks can brick Switch systems. A high-quality dock and a high-quality controller cost about $130. The Switch also comes with a Joy-Con Grip and an HDMI cable. Anyway, what entry-level phone that costs about $170 (with out a high-quality dock and a high-quality controller) that you think that it can compete with the Switch?

            But a cellular modem cost 70$ and a high rating charger, a 60W would cost a 45$, 80W cost 70$, 100W cost 95$ and 120$ cost 120$, you want to compare it to the switch than maxed out at 18W? Apparently its the ability of entry level phone so midrange phone on the switch price nowadays have minimum of 80W already

Do you even know that prices of docks and high-quality controllers? The Steam Deck docking station, for example, is $79. As for the Joy-Con drift issue, apparently it's a thing in the past. It seems that people no longer talk about it. The early Joy-Con controllers have the dreadful drift issue, but Nintendo improved the durability of the Joy-Con controllers a long time ago. As for the body and screen can be scratched, come on. Even stainless steel and titanium can be scratched. And if you're worry about the screen getting scratched, you can apply a screen protector. I don't know what you're talking about regarding the dock melt the Switch.

                          Android phone came with much powerful spec on that price point, they would already come with a much powerful chipset, higher amount of ram, faster storage with ufs, higher resolution panel, they even have camera and cellular modem and high rating charger to counter the price you call as dock and controller which absolutely will drift as soon as you use them
                          And you dont see the switch body and screen scratchable? And its even dented easily and the dock easily melt the switch and you would require a TV to play games beyond 720p 60fps so dont talk about it as if playing games beyond 720p is its advantage

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe runs in 1080p60. Super Mario Odyssey runs in 900p at 60 fps. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate runs in 1080p60. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe runs in 1080p60. The list goes on.

                                      If something sells very well, then there's a chance people like it. Just because you don't like it doesn't make the human race laughable. And there are some fun games to play. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is one of the top best selling games of all time. Something isn't nothing. Just because there's no COD, Genshin or Helldivers doesn't make it bad.

                                      "it's super weak, and unusable on TV. And successor will be already outdated before it's even launched."

                                      Super weak yet eats up most first party titles.

                                        Regarding Pokémon games, Nintendo treats them as Nintendo games or first-party games, but they are Nintendo games in name only. Nintendo doesn't control the company that develops Pokémon games.
