THEY ARE BOTH GREAT AND GIANT COMPANIES...
but i like more LG's design from the very beginning of PRADA, CHOCOLATE, up to "G" and "G2".
i hate S3 & S4' Design looks like a BIG SOAP and not masculine type.
i repeat BOTH Samsung & LG are great Companies not only for smartphone but also for HOME APPLIANCES...
I LOVE SOUTH KOREA!!! I LOVE LG! I LOVE SAMSUNG!

I agree with you, I think that was volume button. First I thought that was intended to adjust the flash lighting.. haha.. Kudos to LG!

I owned an LG KU990 - it's slider wheel was supposed to make life easier by letting the user control the volume whilst talking. It did nothing more than get me to smear my fingerprints all over the camera lens. Apparently the same guy decided on the placement of those buttons here. Way to go LG, that's some useless design-school BS right here.

Notice how the guy is touching the button while on call? It seems to imply that the volume button is easier to press while on call if it is in that position.

It's a 5inch 4 sure.
Thing is zoom buttons on back look weird if that's what they are. LG logo on bottom definitely shows as previous leak shots did. Seems quite unique to say the least with radical styling.
I somehow seem to prefer the simplicity and cleanliness of my Optimus G styling along with the capacitive 3 button menu.
