Anonymous, 15 May 2024With all due respect you cannot see the pixels, quit yappingBetween 1080p and 1440p? Yeah, I'm sorry but I can. Between 1440p and 4K is a different story, with the latter being a complete overkill at displays this small.

I'll wait a couple of years for it to come down in price.£1.4k for a phone that doesn't really do anything different to many other flagships is way too much.

So basically we got downgraded in pretty much everything with pretty much to none improvements in other departments for the same price if not more.... Well...

I stopped buying sony since 2010 or so, and seems like it is going to keep the same, shame on sony, i still remember, when everyone had autofocus and OIS sony was the only one which did not had them, not only that but they mounted very cheap plastic lenses that really made photos ugly.

I hope they go same way or worse LG and other brands did, at least LG pushed some new stuff to the market, sony is not really doing anything innovative or captivating, not even offering top notch hardware for a TOP notch price they ask.

Too expensive, as always, sadly. Even with the headphones that they include.

The device has become more mainstream.
But will it attract mainstream buyers while retaining its niche audience or lose their niche buyers while not attracting any mainstream buyers is the question.
Some people did like the cinematic aspect ratio and 4k displays whether it was useful or not.

Very curious about the telephoto though. Sony going for continuous zoom and reach when others are going for bigger sensor with shorter range.

Pricing is insane as per usual, no wonder I don't see anyone with an Xperia anymore

DarlingYext, 15 May 2024Tradeoff? At prices like this? Naah man.But can you point a different model that puts the jack+sdcard combo with a flagship chip? And no screen damage+front firing stereo speakers?

DarlingYext, 15 May 2024Yeah, 4K on a display so small may have been useless, but g... moreThat's also a shame, since 6.5" 2K LTPO OLED display are much more common than the custom 4K panels that Sony used to order. Especially when you consider that the majority of the leaks stated it will have a 2K panel, which was an upgrade from the 4K panel that most of the time operated in 1080p mode.

                          Time to upgrade 💪

Logical move, from battery draining, gimmicky, unpreceivable 4k to LTPO. Well done on 19.5:9 too, closest to 16:9 we have!

About time Sony phones got a boost in the update support! Still overpriced though.

Yeah, 4K on a display so small may have been useless, but going straight down to 1080p from it.. wasn't the solution.

                                      Most obvious notes to make...
-No under the screen fingerprint scanner
                                      -No bezeless screen

For a flagship price tag is not what is expected. This of course appeals only to a small market, or I would be surprised to know the opposite.

That price is something, but I'm loving the fact that it has front facing speakers! Miss that feature on phones, especially when it was on my old axon 7!
