If the camera is improved meaningfully from the 13T, I'm willing to wait. If not or the price increased more than $50, then the Camon 30 Pro will still be my 1st choice. A shorter OS update & lower IP won't be a major issue for me.

It's the globally model as Xiaomi 14T Pro is using the same chipset and spec but later come with different camera system, likely 13T Pro and non-Pro with Leica lens. And also one 14T non-Pro using Dimensity 8300 Ultra like Poco X6 Pro maybe, and the design and camera it's same the this model but with different camera features and chipset only

mrqss11, 15 May 2024Its so weird tho that the Ultra would have worse cams than ... moreThe pro model is and always has been the top model in the series in terms of positioning and pricing. Actually, Xiaomi does not use the word 'ultra' themselves. They use a Chinese word which is loosely translated as 'Ultra'. This is different from the Xiaomi 14 Ultra for example. In China they still use the English word 'Ultra'. In the dictionary the translation I get is K70 extreme edition. Basically the extreme (or Ultra) here refers to performance. It is a model that focuses on Extreme performance and that it is way Xiaomi/Redmi advertise it. It's a performance first focused phone. The price however is also not Ultra. It will be priced around 2,599rmb (that was also the price last year). The k70 pro was launched at 3,299rmb (also the k60 pro was 3,299rmb the previous year). Therefore the extreme/ultra model is always cheaper so it has to make some cuts. Another cut is the screen. The k70 pro has a higher resolution screen than this new model will have.

They are on the same level. The k70 ultra will be a good bit cheaper than the k70 pro though so the camera setup will be more basic

Vasra, 15 May 2024Another China/Asia only with missing crucial 4G/5G bands. ... moreIt'll most likely come globally later as the Xiaomi 14t pro but with a much better camera system. It's one of the rare phones that always gets an upgrade for the global market

CamoGeko-XDA, 15 May 2024Another 8mp ultrawide and 2mp macro jobbie?Only Xiaomi's lineup are equipped with a complete camera, especially since collaborating with Leica. Take a look at 13T series and Civi 4 Pro. Of course in all of their flagship lineups. Redmi and Poco are not placed in the same segment.

Another China/Asia only with missing crucial 4G/5G bands.
Interesting, but not that much, unless you live in Asia, of course.

I think it will likely have same camera setup as the Poco F6 pro/Redmi K70, a decent OV50E main sensor and then the 8mp+2mp combo
