Edit: AMOLED are just OLED with Samsung's branding on it. So there is no significant difference if you're confused. Cheers~

I do agree that AMOLED has deeper and darker blacks because LED are a pixel BY ITSELF. In a nutshell, it is a SELF ILLUMINATING pixel without needing a backlight. And heck, I'd never EVER compare black levels on a LCD-LED-IPS screen with an AMOLED because its just bullsh*t. Everybody knows AMOLED has superior BLACKS and CONTRAST but overly saturated colors. LCD and LED are both very DIFFERENT technologies, they both might be superior in one way or another. But to compare, we must take color reproduction and natural color reproduction to the talking. In conclusion, its really personal preference. For guys like me, we loathe AMOLEDS and appreciate good screen quality. And perhaps people like you love overly saturated colors?

S4 n note 2 have two of the best screens today... quality of S4's screen is much higher than any superLCD3 or any true hd IPS display or PLS display... the high contrast n extra dark black levels give it even more hd appearance than any LCD screen...

AnonD-128577, 28 Jun 2013Sorry to piss on your cornflakes but Samsung are the ones w... moreIt has already been proven that the SUPER AMOLED is superior to LG's IPS LCD-LED and any other LCD based display, the only thing where HTC reins is in pixel density but everything else colors and and black levels are not as good as SUPER AMOLED. The galaxy s4 allows you set the saturation however i find that pointless since AMOLED is superior the way it is, if you say AMOLED has bluish whites then i say LCD has yellowish whites so OLED is better all in all. No matter how hard LED-LCD technology advances, OLED will always be the best since its LED is an organic matter and not in a form of light behind a screen.

but lg is now becoming more better than sony.
lg learn from their past weaknesses
they improved their battery capacity.
while sony is still weaker in the battery department.

sony is no.1 when it comes to innovation,craftmanship and always leading for a new technology..sony has a name way back in my younger years.i still remember our stereo made by sony,our triniton tv with playstation,..i also remember walkman player..Sony music and sony pictures entertainment that handle so many hollywood films..so all in all Sony is better than samsung,nokia,lg,iphone..in other words sony is a giant killer of all..japan technology is far better than korea,china tech.

Samsung only used the s600 because s800 is not available at the time. So it's only natural to upgrade it once s800 is available. On the other hand you are right about wireless charging

Samsung always lies. They said s4 was coming with Exonus 5 octa core. The only one that came maybe is the one used for the release event. Go to the market and you won't find any. Why are they now copying Sony with the snapdragon 800? They did the same thing with s3 saying it will come with wireless charging. Where is it? Even they still find it difficult to put that in the s4. You only see a render image of it.
Samsung, stop deceiving us.

AMOLED screens are one of the worst. Super saturated and unnatural even though they do give a setting to tone down the saturation. When you DO tone down and the results are super washed out colors. AMOLED? Very pleasing? Answer is no. They are just bright and popping colors. IMHO HTC, Sony, and Apple has one of the best screens.
