"we want our members to have a phenomenal experience"
Must be why the content (NF original productions I mean) is so good. Oh wait.

James Holden, 16 May 2024Just checked the site tv247 us. It's full of ads, but ... moreSomething similar to that site tv247.us
As set a channel to play and they do what they do.
I mostly watch the reality tv documentary like secrets of skinwalker ranch and the like.
Or the Oak island show where punch of crazy people drill a hole and get exited over finding rusting metal. It's a good medicine to get me to sleep. I like the visuals in science channel that i dont have anymore that was talking about space and universe and so on. Also good medicine to fall a sleep

She continued to say: "We’re being incredibly strategic about how we present ads because we want our members to have a phenomenal experience. We conduct deep consumer research to make sure we stay ahead of the competition, bringing opportunities that are better for members and better for brands".
Me, who has a collection of hundreds of blu-ray discs full of high-quality films I can watch whenever I want for free with no ads, no subscriptionsand no internet: You good?

The idea of separate streaming subscriptions was a nice idea, until they revealed what monthly fees they all wanted to make it "sustainable" for themselves. Combine sports and entertainment, I probably waste 30 euros a month on top of all the Sky Sports, Movies and Entertainment subscriptions. That is the main reason so many of these big ones are failing to turn it profitable, and also the reason services like Netflix, Paramount and Apple are turning into "free" bundles with subscriptions like Sky.
We've almost come full circle back to cable, and the only difference is that we're paying twice as much now. With twice as much ads in everything.

Especially channels like discovery and science. I got a TV Box for that to have something in the corner streaming all the shows.
tv247.us have some channels but these lag a lot
Loads of IPTV apps but none of them have what i want as i went trough like 30 different apps in the TV Box shop app that listed them

only 40 million and they hype about it. It's like low number even in USA with it's ~333 million population. Never mind in the world that have like 4-5 billion people that have access to internet or have the means like electricity
But well even with ads i dont care about Netflix as i wont subscribe to them cause my wallet dont support woke and racism and all of that nonsense The Message they are pushing with their content

Anonymous, 16 May 2024I used to be of the opinion that ads were a necessary funct... moreBut that's not the ads fault. That's the fault of the entity that is serving you the ad & designing the UI that shows the ad.
I sometimes find ads interesting, they remind me of a few local events that take place annually & if it weren't for the ads I wouldn't have attended some of those conferences. I can't really keep up with all the news especially now that it's full of clickbait. For me, ads can be helpful.
But the thing is, the ad supported internet can be pressured by advertisers to change course. And that's something that needs to get solved, no advertiser should ever be able to pressure a website to change how it operates just so that it's "brand-friendly". (Twitter advertisers tried to do the same by pressuring Elon Musk to change the site's policies... & he called it what it is, blackmail)
So I think that ads can exist in a good way, but there's just a lot of evil entities out there that won't let you get away with Ethical Advertising, no matter what.

they subscribe to that because they don't have money..
worldwide is going crazy about this. all prices going up but not enough money
they are trying to get rid of as many as possible because the Planet cannot sustain any longer this number of 'parasites' that we are
anyway..back to the subject. i still do have the 4K tier because i need them in 4K on my tv, but i'd better just cancel it and start using torrents again..(it's same thing, if not better)

Not anymore. Try roaming the Internet without an ad blocker. Much of the Internet is unusable. I don't want to see another ad again.

Anyone knows any good IPTV apps that have all the movies, tv shows and streaming content in 4k? People need to rise up against these players and prevent them from getting too greedy.

Isn't this just because everyone with a basic subscription automatically gets put onto an AD subscription, with the idea that it's "cheaper" and allowed to have 2 users and 1080p content shown also. It's equal to U2 saying 500 million apple music users has their album (Songs of Innocence), because they gave it to everyone for free.
Not everyone wanted, but it was the most popular album by technicality
What I'd like to see is how many new users they have to that subscription.

It's stupid for having to pay for a product and still get ads. Many great shows and movies on Netflix, but not worth paying for.

I never had an issue with ads. I've always had an issue with:
1- "Ad measurement"/"Personalization" which is code word for surveillance & data collection.
2- Scam ads & governments being able to push propaganda through ad networks.
3- non-representative ads like mobile game ads.
4- inappropriate ads that are not family friendly.
5- Invasive DRM software that is used to make sure you don't use ad blockers. (Google's FLoC, Google's WEI, "IP Protection", "Private Access Token", etc etc...)
6- Ads that are designed to look exactly like content. (Search result ads that look like search results from a UI perspective)
The issue has always been the ad network & it's policies, not ads themselves!
