Razr 40 ultra has an 3.6" front screen - not a 1.5".... So not a big upgrade.

MakeMotoBetterAgain, 17 May 2024Hopefully dimesity 7300x can outbeat 7 gen 3.It should be the D8300 with 2 less GPU cores and at best 2.6 Ghz on the Big Cores.

Moto RAZR... outrageous you have to open the phone to use Google Assistant... since Jan '24 - still that way in May. Great idea, but someone dropped the ball on this critical function.

Fa14bi, 18 May 2024It's a flip phone, and those phone can't even nea... moreI don't about how well it'll compare against 8 gen 3, but what I do know is that people don't get flips phones for gaming. Even if they do, 8s gen 3 is sufficiently enough for all games present for android devices.

As an example, The Galaxy Z Flip 4 of my friend could not outperform the Snap 765 of my Motorola in games. Heat would damage those types of screen really quick, as such, the phone is forced to limit it's power by a lot.
So chances are this 8sgen3 performs better than the 8gen3 or exactly the same inside flip phones, as both of them won't be able to use it's Full potential anyway.
It may be something like where the 8gen3 can use 40% of its potential in games and the 8sgen3 can use 55%.
We will have to wait and see but the CPU inside a flip phone tells very little about it's actual performance it is going to have.

Hopefully the 7300x is nice and battery efficient, along with the bigger battery and now large cover screen the standard 50 model is looking pretty good! Just need to hope they don't bump up the price of it...

Now this year competition have 8 gen 3 and moto is at 8s gen 3(which is worse than 8 gen 2), close to 2 year behind.

The 8s Gen 3 isn't nearly as bad on the Razr 50 Ultra as the 40 Ultra had an 8+ Gen 1, not an 8 Gen 2, so it's still an upgrade.

My Razr 40 still runs Android 13 on the March security patch. For good software support one shouldn't buy a Motorola. But my intension was to experience a flip for a relatively down to earth price. So I wonder about the new generation of the Razr.
