The Q10 is NOT more affordable, I work for Vodafone and the pricing is much more than the Z10. In my opinion, and from my experience from working with phones for the last 2 years Blackberry have never made products that are built for quality and durability. The life of a Blackberry is far inferior to that of an iPhone because Apple spend so much more on their products than Blackberry, an 8520 costs £13 to manufacture and they sell it off for £120 (back when they were still on sale). You would have thought with spending such little amounts on the quality and build of the phone that they would be better off. They really did kick themselves in the foot with the lower ended products, and honestly? It's absolutely no surprise that they are slowly dwindling from the mobile technology market, they are useless and just cannot make phones the way Samsung and Apple do.

For crying out loud, just quit blackberry, your ideas are awful, surrounded by the two things that you've done well, BBM and Email. Freelance the blackberry software for these two parts of your software to all other phones for £5 a month, people will buy them or have an add on for contracts, you will actually make some cash this way, every single phone that blackberry has brought out has had some problems, every single one of them, none of them are without issues. Blackberry handsets vouch for 85 - 90% of my repairs, and believe me i see a lot of repairs.
Do the software thing and make some cash, concentrate on the tablet world, it's a section of the business that no one has really ran away with, ipad being the one to beat. Have your software on it for free, have an open source OS (android) and beef up the specs so no one can compete. Give the customers what they want.

Blackberry will keep losing if they only focus on that Z10, what happen to the price of BIS, why won't people go for more cheaper phones with better Apps, and more fun.
You forgot the poor, that's your problem and will continue to be if you drop your other products to focus on that Z10. Nokia, samsung and others has everybody in mind.

Blackberry is losing market in Latin America thanks to Whatsapp... almost everyone has it and cheap Nokia and Android phones (Huawei, BLU), even the Galaxy S4 is really popular nowadays around here.

Well I bought one of the Z10 phones and am quite happy with it. The phone has zero lag and the Os is solid. It's search capabilities and file management features are second to none. But I will say it's not for the people who just want to look cool with a bunch of apps and phone customizations...BB Z10 is very much a business phone.
With 3.1 billion in cash they'll be around for quite awhile.

Inferior features, still pricing it abnormally Sky rocking.
Do you think BB 10 would survived before a much affordable Wd ph8 / Android JB markets ?

When it happens, indonesian people will sell all their blackberry phones and switch to Android / Iphone. Nobody is going to buy the blackberry anymore, because indonesian people only buy Blackberry for the BBM feature.

Moreover now bb sales of z10 are very low. Check this article. Only 2,7 shipped devices (discount from this number 30% less for real sales to end user). Extremely BAD numbers!!!, hope they change to android soon:
