Redmi Pad Pro in for review

A good tablet with a full set of accessories.

I bought the Redmi Pad Pro 8GB/256GB a couple of days ago and I must say: it is a no-brainer for the price especially If you can grab the version which includes the pen and the keyboard. I got the package directly from the MI store here in Germany for around 300€ incl. 19% German VAT. The tablet driven by a SD Gen2 SoC and BT keyboard works flawlessly and responsive. I am very satisfied with the device for my daily workload as a IT professional and owner of a small company. Of course some things are missing like a fingerprint reader or could be better for example the display. For the price it is a fantastic device which substitutes now my ThinkPad notebooks (T16 & T490) for mailing and organisational stuff,

Anonymous, 20 May 2024Right now Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 is selling for the $224 ... moreI'm curious about the price point for different tiers since it has UP TO 8gb of RAM. And it has a Snapdragon processor and 10,000 mAh battery.

The Lenovo only has 6gb of RAM and is sporting a MediaTek processor with an 8,000 mAh battery. But has a nicer display.

Both are Chinese products - so, is the better processor, RAM and battery worth the tradeoff of a higher pricepoint and nice, but not quite as nice, display worth the tradeoff?

Oledphile, 21 May 2024Pro without an OLED display?OLED on this would just make it more pricy

Oledphile, 21 May 2024Pro without an OLED display?Name checks out. It's 250 USD, so you can't really expect a 12 inch OLED panel.

Mills, 20 May 2024For non gamers, it's alright. Let's hope that bat... moreRight now Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 is selling for the $224 by the manufacturer. It has 2.5K OLED.

On another site i read that the early prices for Euro Zone start with 299 Euro for 6/128 and 8/256 for 349 Euro

For that price that tablet is a bit too expensive cause of this 7s gen 2. If the chip would be like 7+ gen 2 then the price would be good and cheap.

As of now it's still better to get Xiaomi Pad 6 with SD870 and 144Hz screen for 299 Euro as the 6/128GB version even tough wont have 3.5mm jack and microSD card slot. but the same price is also for 8/256 as 349 euro.

7s gen 2 is like something around 600k in Antutu while the SD870 is close to 800k so you get a lot better performance for the price.

If Redmi Pad Pro as Poco Pad would go for 199 Euro for 6/128GB then it be bang for a buck but it's the same price as Xiaomi pad 6 and there for makes no sense

I was thinking to upgrade my tablet and go with this but now i dont see a point as 300 euro for me for a tablet is too expensive when i use it mostly only to read books on a sofa or bed before going to sleep. Cause phone screen is a bit too small for comfortable reading

For non gamers, it's alright. Let's hope that battery life is good. if so, it can rival S9 FE in some markets. This thing already seems to crush the Galaxy A-series. The panel is of course an IPS LCD (no tablet under 400 USD NEW has OLED).

Based on specs alone, it's a 8/10. Decent chipset, good enough screen with 120hz
