Windows Phone is the best OS. Second is iOS. Third is Blackberry 10. Fourth is Sailfish. And the worst OS is Android. So laggy and full of malware.

AnonD-81729, 01 Jul 2013I just tried that, backing off with the back button all the... moreMy apology. I was not explaining clearly.

When you get back into the Tunein app from the volume rocker area, you will see the Last Play information on the welcome screen. Tap on that, it will try to reconnect the station, although it is already playing. Now, this is the weird thing. Tapping on the volume rocker does not bring you back to the currently playing station. I believe is because the app is relaunched. But if you did not exit the app (by pressing the Start button instead), you can go back to the same station from the multitask window.

      It just ponders me.

Multitasking on WP8 and iOS are made to help with battery life. Only apps that need multitask will get multitask. Apps on Android launch by themselves without your permission at all. It's a heaven for malwares.

AnonD-122899, 01 Jul 2013Cool story bro. But I experience app crashing on my Lumia 8... moreYeah maybe it depends from user to user.

My 920 hasnt been restored/erased from November (I buy it) to this day. My One X has to be restored 4 times in that lapses. And Im not a heavy user. Golly I event dont use root in those phones.

Also the battery least longer on my Lumia than my old S3. I dont know maybe is the way I use the phone but Im not happy any longer with the android ones.

You probably have WP7 not WP8. Facebook takes a sec or two to upload anyways, no one complains.

AnonD-4697, 01 Jul 2013Sinceryly I dont care at all of Multicores as Android users... moreCool story bro. But I experience app crashing on my Lumia 820 more than my HTC One. And when the apps crashes on WP, it simply throw me back to the start screen, without any prompts. At least Android is kind enough to give me a notice about the crash, or send the crash report to the developer.

Perhaps everyone of us has different user experience due to different needs. But for myself, WP8 is lacking a lot in terms of productivity as compared to Android.

Do not tap on the Start button, use the Back button. In that way, it will close the app entirely. Then try tapping on the volumn rocker area. It will restart the app and try to reconnect the station again. Is a known fact that app will be exit totally on WP8 if using the Back button all the way to the Start screen.

I'm talking about the Facebook app, not the built in picture upload from People Hub. Try uploading a photo, don't use Wifi as it will complete the upload in split seconds, and then back all the to the start screen again. It will terminate the upload process.

What are you talking about? Facebook uploads a picture in 1 or 2 secs. You can also upload to Facebook without opening the Facebook app at all. Are you sure you are using a WP8? You can access Tunein radio again while it's playing a radio station without it reloading the app at all. I just tried it from volume button and reopened the app, both worked fine.

Sincerely My Lumia 920 runs smooth (more that my friends N7100, i9500 and One m7) we put a test between they phones and some freezes, some get you out of the apps, screen is not as responsive, in S4 had to pull the battery out 2 times and even turned off without any reason, oh and they get hot as hell.

I was using Android phones among Nokia Lumias and get Lumias since the 710 and sincerely didnt mind ever that just because I rarely experience any lag with WP as with my last S3 & One X.

Im very happy with WP8 more than Android, Jelly Bean and ICS froze so much and so bad on my older phones. They restart and freezes randomly if not closes apps without any notice. Even the updates are a pain in the ass.

I still believe theres a lot of work to do with WP but sincerely is going for the right path. I will support this OS as long they still improving. Android for me is done and quit in many areas.

NikiWP, 01 Jul 2013The toast notification can be made disappear by tapping eve... moreNo. Tapping it will open the related app. You have to flick the message to the right to dismiss it. But if you are having tons of incoming messages, good luck trying to flick every one of them. Because they will just keep pouring in even you have finished reading all the latest messages in the chat room. The toasts are still buffered in the queue so WP8 will try to empty every single one of them ASAP. There is no consolidation of messages to a related app, etc, So unlike on other OS.

Bottom line, the way how WP8 notify the user is total BS.

AnonD-122899, 01 Jul 2013But why do you mind so much if it is a quad or dual cores? ... moreThe toast notification can be made disappear by tapping every notifications that come. I usually do that.

Do you have Tune in app? Try listening to a station. Back all the way out to the Start screen. Now, bring up the currently playing panel by pressing the volumn rocker. Tap on the Tunein station. It will reconnect to the station again! The app is not even staying in memory! It will relaunch the app again! So much for multitasking on WP dude. Is already WP8, and these kind weird behavior still exists?!

Now I'm a Lumia 820 user. So I guess I have the right to argue with you?

As for WP8, it is juts a piece of crap. Look at the camera module. It doesn't even built in features for panorama or burst shots! One will need to switch between lenses in order to achieve what you wanna do. Now look @ S4 and HTC One. They have so much better camera suits! This is just the tip of goodness of what Android offers.

And the thing I hate most about WP is its toast notifications. If you are receiving lots of new Whatsapp messages, the toasts keep on coming in non-stop! Can't they consolidate everything in 1 toast or whatsoever? Oh yah, WP doesn't even have a proper centralized notification system.
