HMD Aura stealthily goes on sale in Australia as a cheaper alternative to the Pulse

23 May 2024
This is an entry-level phone that costs less than the recently announced Pulse. It appeared on JB Hi-Fi, even though there is no official announcement from HMD itself.

Sort by:

"Based on tests, the battery should retain 80% of its original capacity after 500 cycles."

What? At 10W charging, is this statement a joke or a typing mistake?

And how is it a surprise for HMD, they made it, right?

HMD is the best at bringing back old memories and nostalgia. They launch feature phones from 20 years back and smartphones from 10 years back.

Thanks to them these new kids have a way to experience how the world was 10-20 years back.

This phone shouldnt cost more than 59.99....its 2024 date, se have better options for a little more.

Only the screen is very 2021 but the rest is very 2017
Well how much in Australia people in the ranch have internet connection with this phone or any phone for that. Dont there also move other brand phones like for 120 euro range i would expect something like SD 4 gen 1/2/3 at least with that the slow is parable. Something like Redmi 12 5G should be there 120 range as a mini tablet with phone feature

                Didn't you mean (dead) Nokia?

No NFC for tap to pay unlike the Pulse-no cashless payments.

I really don't understand, why HMD continues bring theese type of mobiles! Entriest level phones in entry level (or medium) prices!!

This model will be perfect for 60 dollars! Why someone chooses this model and not Moto G34?? roller vs Ferrari

                          straight up e-waste 😒

HMD surely likes to make low-end devices for an insane price, I thought that was Oppo's doing

at this point HMD only brings unusable crap to australian market. the headphone jack is useless here since the dac inside the unisoc sc9863a sound like dollar store bluetooth speaker.

HMD bought Nokia for branding only to sell phones under its own brand?

IpsDisplay, 24 May 2024There is no way they are selling the note for that JB Hi-Fi scams the hell out of Chinese phones. No wonder why Australians don't seem to bother about non-official products sold at an unfair premium there. There can be better deals for Apple products, and that's basically it.
